I purchased this Speaker System as I'm a die hard fan of Bose so that was a one good reason to start with, I'll be very explicit with my review and list down bullet points - FYI I bought Wall Brackets SB20 Black to install it - fits perfectly
How to Connect
Please connect the Interface Module to your HDTV using the Optical Cable and your are good to go!
Pros
1. Awesome Sound Quality as we always expect from Bose
2. Installation Guide was very helpful
3. Super Easy to Install
4. Optical and RCA Cables included in the box
5. All required screws come along with the package
Cons
1. Interface Module does NOT give the number for Volume - you just have to judge and increasedecrease it
2. Interface Modules has only 2 types of Output a RCA Audio Out & b Optical Out - Be Aware that if you connect your Blue Ray PlayerDVRDVD Player through Optical Cable then even if your device is switched off, anything connected with an RCA Audio Cable will not give any Sound until you take the Optical Cable out from the Interface Module very very annoying part of the whole thing because Optical Out always gets the Priority even though the device connected to it is switched off - NOT VALID ANYMORE Please Connect Your HDTV via Optical Cable as the man said and you are good to go
Summary
It is a wonderful speaker system and sound quality of Bose is unmatched, if you connect your HDTV via Optical Cablecomes in the package then you are all set to hear the sound of any device connected to the TV, now my movies sound better - superb!!!

This product is definitely worth the money..!! The sound quality we get from this product is fantastic and much better than any other similar competing products. Best home theater system with awesome subwoofer. Bose products definitely stand out for this very reason!

I bought the Bose Cinemate II, i love the system awesome sound and clarity in both watching movies and listening to music. The only thing i dont like about it is that you have to use there remote to turn up and down the volume. Definitely recommend this product, and Vanns was great and quick service, i would recommend them as well. Thanks

Pros
Very clean sound overall. FX in movies sound outstanding.
TV shows sound great.
Easy to set up.
Deep bass for movies.
Cons
As with many systems you have to crank it way up to hear the vocals in most movies. Its then way too loud when FX or music kicks in. This is why I returned this system. Yes, the FX sound awesome but you cant understand the spoken dialogue. Theres no adjustment other than the bass level on the sub.
The sound cuts out anytime you change volume levels. Its a gated and delayed drop out. It cuts out any extreme input regardless of source. This feature is very annoying and unacceptable. It sounds like a good idea to avoid pops and noise but its done too drastically.
For live music dvdsblu rays you can FORGET IT! Acoustic guitars sound good and thats about it. Its the low end that is lost. Only the extreme lows seem to come though regardless of how loud you set the bass on the sub woofer.
In closing
I wanted this system to work for me. I watched many dvdsblu rays, moved the speakers all over the room, changed rooms and after three long days... I gave up and returned it to the store. The final straw was not being able to understand the dialogue in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Price. I watched that movie twice. Once on blu ray with the Bose 2.1 and once on dvd with the HarmonKardon HS 100. The dialog was crystal clear on the HarmonKardon system.

Prompt and professional service with Vanns . Great place to do bussiness. The Cinemate 2 was exactly what I was looking for. Unobtrussive in the family room and awesome sound. You really do get that enveloped feeling from this system. Glad i made the move.

I have been amazed at the quality sound that comes out of two speakers, there are sounds on my TV that have not been there before, I just have them sitting on my TV consule. I have been wanting one of this kind for several years and am extremely satisified with the sytem.

The Cinemate Series II is our latest Bose system purchase. Weve had different Bose models in the past. This one was so easy to setup and produces amazing sound without having speakers all over the room. We have our own in-home theatre! Vanns ordering process and delivery was so quick, we didnt have long to wait!

I believe its imperitave to have a sound system to complement the internal speakers of a LCD TV. This system has all the quality expected of Bose & provides excellent sound for our 40 LED TV, without being intrusive in our living room. We have Bose 901s for music but, I believe this system would be quite adequate to handle your music needs as well.

These speahers are awesome. Very easy to install and no need for center or rear channels. So much better than listening to just the speakers in the flat screen.

If you are looking for a home theater system for your HDTV, then this is the one. The technology of sound and simplistic equipment is truly amazing - appreciating the sound of the closing of a car door, footsteps, crickets.- like sitting in a movie theater, but enjoying the comforts from home. I put it together myself in minutes with their simple instructions. Its quite a remarkable system and I couldnt be happier.
