But not all home theater systems are created equal. While most home-theater-in-a-box systems (HTIBs) are focused on having a cool design or a small size, this Onkyo system puts quality first. For starters, instead of a low-quality amplifier/DVD combo unit, the HT-S7400 has a full-featured AV receiver complete with a plethora of connections, support for the latest advanced video and audio formats, and high-caliber internal circuitry. The HTS7400 features 5 speakers each rated to 130W of steady output, plus a 10", 120W powered subwoofer. Plus it includes an Audyssey 2EQ mic to help get your system set up right. Better still, the receiver has two more powered channels, so with another pair of speakers you can enjoy 7.1-channel audio, front height channels with Dolby PLIIz, or even a powered second zone! But that's just the beginning when it comes to the advanced capabilities of this system. It features a wide variety on inputs and outputs to facilitate all of your AV devices, new and old. A network connection or optional USB wireless connector even allow you to tap into a number of network sources including DLNA devices, Napster, Rhapsody, Pandora, Last.FM, MediaFly, and Slacker. The HT-S7400 supports the latest video and audio formats including Dolby TrueHD and dts-HD Master Audio for uncompressed music and Full HD 1080p support (even 3D). In fact, with Marvell Qdeo processing, this advanced receiver can even upscale your video to artificial 4K! Eay to set up, great sound for the price. Shipping was fast. Ive had the system up and running for about two weeks and I love it. I added two rear speakers to have a 7.1 sourrond setup. This si a very loud sytem for an apartment but you have several ways to control the bass output. The odysee set up was very easy, takes about 10 minutes. Buy this setup!
