| Underwhelming!
I received Sound Dock as a Birthday Present. Initially, I was very excited about being able to listen to my collection on a portable quality sounding device. Unfortunately, I was a little underwhelmed when I finally set it up and started listending to my music.
Although high frequencies are reproduced with crisp, clear sound, lows are virtually nonexistant. NO BASS BABY! It sounds like a transistor radio on steroids the sound is lacking mellow undertones and richness normally associated with BOSE. For $3oo I was expecting much more, especially considering my $150 Emerson ' Boom BOX' sounds MUCH BETTER!!!! |

I have owned a Bose Soundock for about 3 months now. Overall, it sounds pretty good. I just cant agree that it doesnt have any bass. There is plenty of low-end considering its size even though not the kind of bass that will vibrate books off the shelf. After all, musical bass isnt supposed to be a volcano explosion.
To me, Bose is truly a leader in the manufacture of innovative audio products. It was the first to introduce the idea of a tabletop wave radio with big sound. Others saw it and followed. Then the elegant Soundock for ipods and yet again the others saw it and followed. Isnt it interesting!?!
