I dont know where to start but this little JVC system is downright AMAZING!! I had a Bose 321GS, and sold it on ebay in order to buy this system. The bose 321Gs was a great system but for the same money I am way happier with this sytem. I have it in my bedroom which is a good mid size room and usually listen to music at a low or midrange volume.
I ordered the system from Vanns while it was on sale, so it was an excellent price. And with free shipping and no tax I was very happy with the price. However now that I have the system and have listened to it I would pay the regular price if I had to.
When opening the box, the system is packaged very securely. The cherry wood speakers are very beautiful as well as heavy. A heavy speaker is usually a good sign that it has a lot of sound to offer. Hooking up the system didnt take very long, however there are more than a few wires that must sit dangeling behind the system. Its size is perfect for a bedroom or a office, or even a living room if your living room isnt a large one.
The first cd I played was the beatles love cd. The sound is nothing short of amazing. I also listened to techno, rock, old rock, and jazz. I thought because of the design only classical music and jazz would sound good but suprisingly everything sounds downright awesome. Even all my rock music sounded killer! The clarity is superb, and considering this system has no subwoofer, the base it puts out is excellent. But most of all when playing all my music, I am hearing it like i have never heard it before. There is clear seperation and range. Overall though the sound is warm and natural. Its not to much or to little of anything. And as far as features, this system is abundant with features. It even has dynamic range compression which is awesome. If you dont know what that it, it allows to clearly hear vocals even at lower volume levels. Its sweet! For my bedrooom this sytem works really well because it has a sleep timer which i use every night and and you can set the system to wake up to the radio or a cd. I havent played movies, I only use it for music, and radio. I absolutely love this sytem and I was spetical at first but Vanns also gives you a 15 day return policy. There are many micro systems available for a much lower price, but if you listen to music a good amount of time. It is definetly worth spending a little more to get this system. I would buy thtis system again, and I wouldnt consider buying anything else. Oh and it looks great too! People compliment on how good it loks all the time. |
