Behind the Pretty Face
The brushed black aluminum front panel of this dual tape deck speaks of the quality contained within. Dual auto reverse lets you copy both sides of a tape with the press of a button, or relay-play both sides of two tapes without interruption. The TARW-244 dual cassette deck also includes Dolby B and C noise reduction to effectively eliminate tape hiss and auto-spacing to insert blank spaces between songs which is especially important if you use a music search feature when playing your recordings. This fully loaded dual deck also offers high speed dubbing, record level control, CD synchro recording, 8-segment peak level meters, an auto tape-bias selector and a 4-digit electronic tape counter.

This is my first tape deck since I just bought an Onkyo HTS not long ago, and I am so happy with this buy. The connection from this Onkyo dual tape deck to my Onkyo receiver was just in a few seconds, and the result is THE best sound quality I could ever had from my audio tapes for a very long time in my life! I was looking for a Dual Cassette Deck with volume meters and a manual input volume controll.
The Onkyo was the inexpensive model that had the features I was looking for.

This Onkyo tape deck is a great replacement for the one that I wore out. The sound quality is excellent - just what I expected from Onkyo. The layout and simplicity of the controls make it easy to use for recording, dubbing, and playback. I make tapes from other tapes, CD's and records for my own use, and the quality of the finished tape is supurb. I have owned and used several different brands of tape decks and I can honestly say this deck is the best quality for the price of any I have used so far. Anyone, from individuals to professional sound technicians, would enjoy using this tape deck. The features that influenced me to purchase this product are the appearance and simple layout of the controls, the dual tape wells with dual tape counters, auto-reverse, 2 speed dubbing, pause button and record level knob, the Onkyo reputation and the price for value.

WE WORE OUT OUR LAST TAPE DECK, MAKING TAPES OF OUR FAVORITE SONGS ON A CD,WE SLECT ONLY THE SONGS WE LIKE FROM A CD AND RECORD IT ON TAPE. WHEN THE CASSETTE IS COMPLETED, WE HAVE ABOUT AN HOUR OF OUR FAVORITE SONGS ON ONE CASSETTE, THAT WE PLAY IN THE CAR CASSETTE PLAYER, ON A TRIP OR JUST GOING FOR A RIDE. THE STEREO CASSETTE TAPE DECK TA-RW244/144 MAKES IT REAL EASY TO RECORD THE MUSIC FROM THE CD'S AND THE PLAYBACK SOUND IS FANTASTIC.
