The dual-well CD-W606DR includes digital noise reduction, digital noise suppression, and Dolby HX Pro for clean recording and playback, and includes CD-Deck Synchro for easy recording from a CD player. So don't put those tapes away yet, they'll still sound great on this deck.

Making the Most of Cassette Tapes

The CDW606DR contains powerful circuitry that gets the most out of your cassette collection. During the recording process, Dolby HX Pro allows higher recording levels and reduces distortion, which increases dynamic range. An MPX Filter circuit deletes the 19kHz "pilot tone" from FM broadcasts, so that the tone does not interfere with the Dolby noise reduction circuits. And another great feature of the CTW606DR is the twin motors. Higher-end cassette decks have two motors versus one with which to drive the moving parts within the player, for more stable, accurate performance and improved musical reproduction.

Get In Sync

CD Deck Synchro is a feature of select Pioneer CD players and cassete decks enabling the two to operate in sync to simplify recording a CD onto cassette. For example, the deck will automatically stop recording when the CD player is searching for the next programmed track to play, and will restart when it finds it. It makes for quality, hassle-free recording.

Cassette Copying Made Easy

If you still have a collection of cassettes, or have a tape deck in your car, you'll get lots of use out of the CTW606DR. This double auto-reverse cassette deck features normal and high-speed dubbing and the auto reverse recording on Deck II means you can dub an entire cassette without having to worry about flipping the tapes. Just get the recording going and wait for your copy to be completed. Digital Noise Reduction and Dolby B/C noise reduction makes for cleaner sound.

Get To The Good Stuff

Dubbing isn't all there is to the CTW606DR's abilities. It offers lots of playback features that make for great, convenient listening. The music/skip search lets you skip up to 15 songs forward or backward to find what you're looking for. You can also use blank skip to get through blank spots on a tape without having to worry about watching the progress and stopping it at the right time. The CTW606DR stops it for you. The auto-reverse play on both decks makes for hassle-free playback of your favorite tapes.

My Wife sings in a Chorus, but She doesnt read music. So, She needs to record all Her practice sessions on a portable tape recorder. Then, at home, She listens to the tapes on our home stereo system, to practice the music.
Our old tape deck finally died. And when I searched for a replacement, I managed to find a
Pioneer Cassette Deck CT-W606DR on www.vanns.com. Apparently, there arent many old fashioned tape decks on the market anymore.
But, this PIONEER tape deck turned out to be a really superior machine better than our original.
