This item was out of stock, but they shipped me a different CD player as soon as they found out their error. The other CD Player works fine and I am still awaiting a credit on the one they were suppose to cancel. I received it and returned it because I had already begun to use the replacement they sent.

I received Pioneer PD-F407 and the front door would not open. The error code read U2 which according to the manual meant mechanical failure. Several attempts to remedy the problem following the manual were unsuccessful so the unit was returned.

This changer is just what we needed. Before we were using a standard 5 disc carosel type. Now the changer keeps us guessing which of the 25 artists will play next. Mixes well with random, which is what we usually set the play mode. I was worried about the no remote model, but the whole idea is to let the device manage itself. So far the changer is smooth running after a full 12 hours every couple of days a week. Thanks for listening !

This was a replacement unit for my 15 year old ONKYO which failed eventually.
Overall it it a good product. But there is no remote control with this unit? there is no option also as it will not support it? It is very easy to load the disk but can not do it while player is playing.
Audio is good quality but I was hoping to see optical out to have enhanced audio connection with receiver. It comes with RCA standard out put.
But keeping the price I paid in mind its all good and can not expect a lot.. I will recommend this product to anyone. Vanns has excellent product selection and price compare to anyone online. Great customer service too.

Ill keep it simple.
This is the second Pioneer 25 CD player that Ive owned. The first one was a nearly identical model which I acquired used in 1996 and I played it for *thousands* of hours. I played it all night, every night, no exceptions.
I play Classical Music on the CD player at low volume as I read 3-5 books per week -- Im retired. The similar Pioneer player that I owned played on through lack of regular cleaning I have a dozen cats and the hair gets everywhere! The chief difference was that the other one had a remote, which I never used since it was right beside my bed.
The new player has no remote but you can acquire this feature by purchasing the F507 Model. The unit holds 25 discs, standing on their edges, file style. It works just fine regardless of how many discs you put into the unit. The player also features shuffle, random play, programmable play, and so on -- everything that you expect.
I have owned other CD players where multiple CDs lie flat and the tray rotates and without exception, they never work right. They jam up and the units brains seem to go dead. With the Pioneer file-type system, this simply does not happen.
Youll need a stereo receiver to channel the signal through, as well as external speakers. When you have all that, youre in business. The hook-up is a no-braner.
This player would be a bargain at any reasonable price. Do yourself a favor if youre in the market -- I was very pleased to discover that this unit was still available.
Highly recommended.

I chose this unit to replace a 5 disc Sony that I have had since 1992. After reading the reviews on the Sonys I was hesitant to replace with a 5-disc again. The 300 disc units came with mixed reviews also and that seemed like overkill for me. The 25 disc Pioneer has been perfect for me to just hit play or random on my day off and let it play. Sound quality is great, delay between songs in random mode is expected and normal, I am very pleased with this purchase.

A great quality 25 CD PlayerChanger. An excellent value for the money. It fits in very well with the classic component system that I have been assembling for some time now. There is no remote control, but none of the rest of my system has one either, so thats no drawback to me. Signal to noise ratio is very good naturally, it exceeds the rest of my system which has excellent SNR also. All features are very user friendly, and readily accessible. I may upgrade to a larger capacity library in the future, but in the meantimeI am very well pleased with my purchase. The shipping was fast and damage free, Vanns service department bent over backwards to answer all of my questions, and billingordering was a breeze.
All that remains is to thank everybody at Vanns for going to the head of the class in every aspect of our transactions. You folks make it a pleasure to shop on-line.
I recommend Vanns to all of my friends and family, all of whom are also happy to have found you.
You keep me smiling folks.

We have never had a CD player that would allow us to play a number of CDs with our favorite music all in one unit. The most we had was 6 and I talked my husband into getting this 25 CD Changer because if we have a get together for any occasion we can put in a number of CDs to fit everyones taste. We just relocated to the USA from the UK where my husband is from. We are very pleased with the product and would recommend it and the company to family and friends. Many Thanks

I recently acquired the Pioneer CD Player PD-F407 and I really like this unit. Although not supplied with a remote that functionality would be wasted on this unit.
This unit is durable and easy to operate and holding 25 CDs means at lease 25 hours of not hearing the same song twice. I use it in random mode mostly and this proves to be a very nice mode indeed. Each song is a surprise and eliminates the predictable next song syndrome. I highly recommend this unit for restaurant owners who want to supply something better than mu-sack to their customers

I previously owned a 5 disk CD player and wanted another one. After tons of research I came across the Pioneer PD-F407. Its price and the fact that it is a 25 disk player and was significantly less cost than any 5 disk one. It took about 5 minutes to connect it to my stereo system and has performed without a single issue. It continusouly plays an average of eight hours a day since purchase in December. Yes, it was my christmas present. I most highly recommend this system to anyone looking for a CD player. It is perfect!

My first experience with Vanns has been excellent. I had my order within 4 days of placing and it came with no shipping issues. The Pioneer PD-F407 holds 25 cds and I guess my only complaint at this point is that you cant see waht is playing unless you have it hooked up to a PC or laptop. Quality seems to be very good and the sound is excellent, I give this player a 4 star rating, thank you Vanns for your superior customer service.

This is a nice CD player. You cant beat the price. I bought it for my husbands birthday. He is not up to date with technology. He likes his old CD player. His has been broke for a while now and I have looked everywhere for a new one. I am so happy with this one and so is he. He was glad that all he had to do was disconnect the old one and hook this one right up in just a few minutes he was loading his CDs and listening to them. We have owned Pioneer equipment since 1982 and have really liked the quality and performance. Sadly our previous CD player was not a Pioneer. I was a little worried about ordering over the internet but I was happily surprized when I received my order just when I was supposed to and it was in perfect condition. I would recommend this company to everyone I know, it is great and I will be ordering in the future.

A nice little CD player which is a great buy for the money. I found it to be easy to connect into my Home Theatre system. It took about 5 minutes from unpacking to set up and start playing. One of the nicest features in the drop-down drum loader for up to 25 cd's. Sturdily built, compact and quite attractive player. Have spent more for 5 disk turntable players that are below in quality. Pioneer has always meant quality and I expect the same here. A good model for an add-on without spending a fortune.
