I just got the player from Vanns, and I was very pleased with the speed and condition of shipping. My old C.D. player was a five disc Sony carousel that stopped shuffling after about six months, and later would skip the disc I wanted to play. My brother-in-law has the same one, and it ate his favorite c.d.. So far I am happy with this product, but only time will tell! One thing to remember with this cartridge type player is to put the C.D.s LABEL DOWN in the cartridge! I was in a hurry, so like a dummy I didnt read the label on the cartridge! For the price and the good long term reviews Ive read on line, it seems to be a good deal.Thanks for the good service Vanns!

I have never owned a multiple disc CD player before I bought this one because its modest dimensions allow it to fit in my cabinet. The changer cartridge holds 6 CDs. Its easy to load and change the discs. The mechanism operates quietly and the sound reproduction is excellent. The unit also has a remote that is convenient and works well.

After 30 years Ifinally had to replace my Pioneer PD M510. because it stopped reading my discs. I knew it would not pay to repair it. I always loved the 6 cartridge feature and
found it s updated version in the PD M426. I can use my old Pioneer cartridges and my old remote. It also plays my burned CDs . Someone commented that it would not. The quality is the same or better. This is my first experience with Vanns and was really very pleased. Their customer service was helpful and their delivery was fast and exactly when they said it would be.

Ive had a chance to use this machine for a couple of days this past weekend. I find it to be reliable and easy to use .
Ive owned its predecessor model #MD-455 for twenty years and it still works great.
Ive always had good luck with the Pioneer brand. When you consider the price versus the quality you would be hard pressed to do better.

i bought this system to go outside on a cover deck by pool and im very pleased.

GREAT- I was looking for CD player only that would fit into my built-in music system that was multi disc..Size was critical. I have 5 sets of speakers thru out the house and this gives me almost 3 hrs of music without having to go back to change.My old CD player only had room for 1 disc.This Pioneer is about the exact same size.Good quality and very happy.

I had a Sony ES CD player for 20 years, and the transport finally went bad. I decided to go for a multi-CD player and looked at carousels too bulky and stumbled across this machine. Its absolutely great, especially for the price. I also bought the extra-cartridge three-pack from Vanns, and I am totally satisfied with the units looks, sound, price and overall performance. Awesome CD changer. Upgraded from the same model I have had for years for my second system in a vacation home. 6 Disc carosels from my old one fit the new one, so I can shift from system to system. The old one from the 80s still works also. Matches remote with my 819 Pinoeer receiver. Vanns did it again, great price, fast delivery, customer for life!

My old Pioneer CD player went out, wouldnt read the CDs. It was my 1st CD player, a 1990 purchase at an Army PX in Germany. I was told by a Pioneer repair shop here in Springfield that it would cost about $175 to fix. Well, when I checked things out on line, I replaced it with one from Vanns. Its simply great, as the 12 old 6-pack CD cartridges I had fit just right in the new version. And it COST LESS than a repair of the old one. Great deal, great solution. Thanks.

This item is exactly what I was looking for to replace my PD-M500 from the early 90s. I was able to replace it for about the same cost as repair. And while I was told by Pioneer that the magazines I used with the M500 would not work with the M426, they indeed do, including the single disc magazine.

Simply thrilled! We had previously owned an Onkyo with a six CD magazine which we loved that lasted for about 10 years. We then purchased a Sony carousel CD player because that was all that we could find at the local electronic stores. It lasted about 2 years and then started acting up. I had heard that the carousels tend to cause trouble so looked online for the six changer and found that pioneer still makes one. I was delighted since the previous type had served us so well. Im fairly cautious about web buying, so I checked reviews on other websites about Vanns and the majority were good. Purchased from Vanns for 20 less than manufacturers retail price and it was delivered promptly within a few days! Highly recommend! It may be wishful thinking the way things seem to be made these days, but hoping the player lasts for the next 10 years

I owed an older model of the same player from Pioneer. It was 20 years old and working just fine until I decided to clean the shelf it was on and drop it 4 foot onto the floor. The new one is lighter and simplified, and is providing the same quality music. I would recommend this as a great medium price range unit.

Just as I hoped it to be, my new Pioneer multi-disk player lays out the music in a seemless sound enviornment that would be hard to match! I have different decks loaded with different tastes of music that are so easy to change.
This system allows you to program your favorite tunes with 6 different CDs at a time! You can also play random tunes too! Good for a dinner party.

I decided to finally replace my wonderful Pioneer CD player that I purchased in 1991. It had developed one little glitch, so with a tear in my eye, I went on a search for a newer Pioneer. As far as Im concerned, Pioneer is the best in every way. I have to say, as much as I loved my older Pioneer, I have now developed an obsession with my new magazine type Pioneer. Its even more awesome than its predecessor!! So, I have bid a sad farewell to my old love, with the knowledge that my new relationship will also last for years. I ordered this unit because it used a multi-disk cartride as did the Pioneer player it replaced. Unfortunately, the cartridges for the new one are smaller which means the six I have for the old unit are worthless.

Purchased to replace our 15-year old PD-M403, which died a natural death. Able to use the 4 multi-cassettes from old unit, & bought 4 more with new unit. It fits perfectly in cabinet, plays and operates exactly the same, and we hope it lasts at least half as long. Features are all very useful - we pre-load 6 similar CDs into a cassette, then play them in Random mode - a good mix of music with minimum work. The Scan feature is good for verifying CD content & insuring a given CD is OK. We consider it a good value, and plan to buy another if still available when this one dies. PS The old one simply no longer saw the cassette & not worth labor cost for repairing.

I had been looking to replace an older Pioneer CD changer that was about 15 years old and no longer working. I searched the internet and tried buying a used one on EBAY that ended up not working.
I then found a NEW one at Vanns and purchased it. No freight charges too!! You guys are great!!

We needed a changer to add-on to our Bose 321 GS single disc. The relatively small size, features, reputation and good price of the Pioneer compared well to similar products. We bought this machine mainly because the reviews were so good!
Unfortunately, we found the sound quality to be huge negative. We were very disappointed and returned the machine. We have found the Sony CDP-CE375 to be very close to the Bose quality, so we know that it is possible to improve on the Pioneers sound quality. Perhaps the Pioneer is well suited to certain systems but it did not work well for us.

I bought this to replace my Pioneer PD-M601, and found it to be every bit as good. I have ten magazines to hold CDs, and wanted to be able to continue using them.
I really like to group either single types of music or single artists in each magazine, and this allows much easier grouping than other types of changers.
This unit is very easy to use and handles the CDs very gently.
This was my first purchase from Vanns, and I found the whole process very smooth, straight-forward, and intuitive.

Our church has use a Pioneer PDM426 for there services for the past 10 years, I mean this player gets used a lot. When ours finally died I could not find a replacement. After searching all the local stores I went on line. After checking out a couple of those fly by night webs that claimed prices too good to be true. I came to Vann's. What a class A soild 5 company to do business with. Everything went as expected with no delays no problems at all. I would buy this product again and from Vann's in a heart beat.

The Pioneer PD-M426 is great unit at a GREAT price, THANKS to Vann's, with NO shipping or tax charges.
When my Pioneer PD-M601 stopped playing and I brought it in for repair, I was told it would cost $230 to fix, that was more than I paid for it 8 or 9 years ago. I wasn't sure what to do because I hadn't seen any Pioneer 6 Disc Changers in any stores within the last few years. The trouble was, I had two other Pioneer 6 Disc Magazine Changers at home one in a bedroom and one in the garage for summer entertaining [smile] and wanted to purchase another one to replace the one that was too costly to repair.
I LOVE the Pioneer 6 Disc Magazine Changers. As the owner of three of these units it's great to be able to take a Magazine full of discs from one unit to the other, especially the one outside in the garage [smile]. Another GREAT THING about the PD-M426 is that when you're entertaining, you can have several Magazines all ready to go when you want to change the mood or tempo of the music, you just pop one Magazine out and pop the next one in. This is important to me because I like to have lively upbeat music for when guests arrive, then switch to quitter softer music for dinning and then switch to something more lively again or with a different tone for after dinner. You can't do that with a carousel player, you'd have to stand there and open the CD cases and place the discs on the carousel, very time consuming and it takes you away from your party.
Anyway, ENTER Vann's! Since I didn't know where I could buy a replacement for my now defunct CD player, I went online to do a search and VIOLA, there was Vanns.com with it's GREAT price and NO shipping or tax charges. The site is easy to use AND you get to see your shipping charges in this case NONE before you enter all your CC and shipping info. I like that feature because on most sites you have to fill in ALL your info to find out what you're going to be charged for shipping and in many cases you're better off paying more for something that has a lower shipping cost than trying to find the best deal on the item you're looking to purchase. I also like Vann's site because you can see an expected date of arrival for your purchase. In my case I received my PD-M426 three business days 5 days total BEFORE the date shown on the site. Which, when you're looking forward to a delivery, is ALWAYS NICE to receive it earlier rather than later.
Back to the PD-M426. The unit is easy to use fewer buttons on the unit itself than the PD-M601 which I thought would be a problem but it's not and easy to program or just 'let 'er rip' on random play for 6 or more hours of whatever music you enjoy, in my case Jazz the GOOD STUFF, meaning the classics like Miles, Dizzy, Ellington, Basie and the like and Classical. See, now you know why I like the Magazines, it's Jazz when the guests arrive, Classical for dinner and then back to Jazz when the party really gets going. The PD-M426 allows you to delete certain tracks if you want to use random play and just don't want certain tunes to play like eliminating vocals during dinner [smile].
If you like to entertain or if you have a couple of different musical tastes and want to switch from one to the other WITHOUT a hassal, you'll appreciate owning the PD-M426. All in all the PD-M426 is a great little unit and it sure is priced right on Vann's site. I love it and I'm sure you'll love it too!

I have enjoyed the use of the new player. My storage cabinet was very shallow so this fits perfect. We had a house party this past weekend and it was great to load a variety of music and let it randomly play for 6 hours without having to mess with it. The overall experience with VANNS was also great. I will continue to make my online electrnic purchases through VANNS
