A century of audio excellence
Denon is celebrating 100 years of audio excellence by releasing their 100th anniversary series of audio products. Since they produced their first gramophone in 1910, Denon has strived to create high quality, beautifully designed consumer and professional audio equipment. By seeking out and hiring engineers who have a passion for music, or are musicians themselves, Denon ensures that those designing their products have only one goal in mind: creating audio equipment that creates or reproduces sound as it should be heard. With their limited edition anniversary line of products, they are re-releasing and re-imagining some of their favorite designs and products, keeping what has made them classics, and updating them so that they fit in with the demands of today’s home audio connoisseur.
Precision building keeps the music spinning
You know what you want when you’re looking at audio equipment: the best possible sound quality. Denon uses their long history of excellence to create a precise sounding, well built turntable, making sure that you’ll be getting ear-pleasing audio for years to come. Their direct drive motor, first introduced in 1970 and perfected over 40 years, makes sure that the speed of the turntable stays accurate, and gets your player up to speed fast, so you can start enjoying that great sound right away. A quartz lock servo keeps the rotation of your turntable precise by detecting pulses of light passing through to it from a small window in the motor. The tone arm's aluminum die-cast base can be adjusted to a height in the range of 6mm, allowing you to have it in the exact position you need it in.
Stay in the groove with high-quality vibration reduction
When you put on your favorite record, the only sound you want to enjoy is the sound coming from your speakers, not the sounds of your turntable. The Denon DPA100 utilizes silicone rubber applied to the entire reverse side of the 331mm aluminum die cast platter to reduce vibration, and deaden sounds. The machined aluminum head shell included with the DPA100 further reduces vibration, allowing the cartridge to stay exactly where it needs to. Large insulators installed into the turntable dampen external vibration.
Classic cartridge
The cartridge and stylus designed for use with the DPA100 has been being produced and used for 46 years by professionals and audiophiles alike. The DLA100, featuring the latest tuning of the classic DL103, is a testament to the high precision and quality of the unit. A moving coil magnetic cartridge makes sure that playback remains accurate, efficient, and is able to reproduce a wide range of sound from your records. A diamond tipped stylus makes sure that sound quality is maintained over a long period of time.
Design that should be seen and heard
It’s not just the inside of the inside of the Denon DPA100 that’s gotten attention; the cabinet is made with a sliced veneer of natural wood, and a dark brown glossy finish is created using multiple coats similar to lacquer. This creates a beautiful finish that you'll want seen for years to come.
Your place in audio history
Denon has had a long history, and your 100th anniversary turntable is part of that. Because of the precise care given to each of the limited edition pieces they make, a certificate of authentication signed by the chief production engineer who hand crafted your product is included with the Denon DPA100. A special anniversary logo badge adorns the cabinet, letting everyone know how far great sound has come.
