If you're going to spend some time in the home office or kitchen, simply hit the A/B switch button, and move your tunes to the second of set of speakers. The Marantz SR4023 is a very high-quality Stereo Receiver. It is very stylish, and the sound quality is excellent. It has a lot of interfaces on the back, including a phono input with a ground terminal, and several RCA inputs and outputs. There are also several video RCA ports. There is also a 14 headphone port on the front. The AMFM tuner works very well, especially with the AM and FM antennas that are included. I also like that there are 2 electrical outlets on the back, including a switched outlet and an unswitched outlet. The remote is also very stylish, although it does not have a backlight. On the other hand, you can connect up to 4 speakers to this receiver. The only thing that I did not like at first was that you cannot adjust the balance between the left and the right speaker. To fix this issue, I connected my left speaker to the left speaker A terminal, and I connected my right speaker to the right speaker B terminal. This way, I still have a stereo connection, and I can switch between speaker A the left speaker and speaker B the right speaker by pressing the Spkr AB button on the remote. If 4 speakers are being used, the remaining 2 speakers connect to the remaining terminals. Having the speakers connected this way does not have any impact on the sound quality at all. I would highly recommend this Stereo Receiver to others.

the reciever is fine.More than I expected really.Im just not happy with the customer service so that problem over shadows any positive feelings that I have about the reciver.

I bought this receiver with the Marantz cc4003 5 disc cd player.I wound up spending more money than i set out to.Wow,am i glad i did.This receiver has a very nice sound.My cds have NEVER sounded this good.The sound is amazing.Every instrument comes through very well balanced.Just be very careful with the remote.Alot of functions can only be done through the remotr,such as bass and treble controles.If you want top rated stereo equipment,your going to have to sprnd a little extra.Spent wisely it worth it.
