It is everything I expected and more . It is fairly easy to set up and has fantastic sound and a very good price . I had a 300 watt Pioneer receiver I bought in 1997 that gave up about 2 months ago , I gave more for it than I did for the 517 and it had a lot less features . I went with the 5.1 setup because I have limited space for anymore speakers and dont want to hang any on the wall , my old Pioneer Speakers still hammer . I found that Pioneer can be trusted for a great product and I really like this receiver and would recommend it for quality and price and great sound .
