Your home computer — the newest component in your A/V quiver

Because the AV7005 A/V preamp/processor leaves all of the power amplification to the power amp, it's able to focus exclusively on advanced connectivity. And heading up its diverse repertoire of A/V inputs and outputs is the rear-panel RJ-45 ethernet port. This simple connection, combined with DLNA compatibility, allows you to link all the media on your home computer or network to your home theater system. Stream video from the internet or your media server. Listen to audio stored on your computer or streamed from an internet radio source. Share archived photos with friends and family. All you have to do is connect the AV7005 to your home computer, network, or media server via ethernet.

Fully ready for room-filling entertainment

No matter which technology you're hooked on — 3D, vinyl, streaming media, surround effects — the AV7005 is prepared to take it on. Equiped with the new HDMI version 1.4, the AV7005 not only handles 3D content, it also comes with the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). For old schoolers, the AV7005 has a dedicated MM phono input implemented with the same current feedback technology that provides tonal balance for line-level inputs. If streaming is your game, there are plenty of options, from SIRIUS Radio to internet TV, plus the M-XPort connector provides ready access for the optional RX101 Bluetooth module. And if you're obsessed with movie effects, Marantz added a new dedicated single-ended preamp out for your surround height channel.

Well, fret no more: First, Anchor Bay's ABT2015 10-bit video processing allow the AV7005 to upconvert standard definition video — like that found on all your DVDs — to 1080p levels . . . ideal for viewing on your HDTV. Further, the Marantz Dynamic Audio eXtender recreates the high- and low-frequency audio removed from compressed audio formats like MP3 or WMA, delivering a dramatically improved listening experience in your home theater area.

The item was delivered onto,e and I have my installer working on my Home Theater Room The agent that I met over the phone was Awesome and she has been Very Patience as well I ORDERED THE SAMUNG TV UN65D8000 LED TV as well as the Marantz UD5005 Blu Ray DVD Player I planned on ordering Polk Audio Speakers as wellTHANKS TO A GREAT AGENT IN HARLEAN

My Lexicon MC-1 preamp was starting to become outdated with the newer technology out. I went searching for a replacement and decided to give the Marantz AV7005 a try. I didn’t want to spend a mint like I did on the Lexicon just to have to replace again. I have a serious set up which includes 7 Magnepan speakers and an 18 inch Velodyne sub. I’m pushing the speakers with a Parasound Halo A51 5 channel amp and a pair of Aragon Palladium monoblocks. My biggest fear was to lose sound quality with a preamp costing so much less. I can tell you that there was no audible loss at all!!! This is an incredible preamp. My first awesome experience was the ability to reduce my cables. I now only have HDMI connections to my 61 plasma, cable box with FiOS, Oppo DVD player and balanced interconnects to all amps and sub. The cables management never looks so good. Now the fun stuff - The AV7005 can run airplay from Apple. This allows you to wirelessly transmit your itunes library over to your receiver all for $50 bucks. The receiver also have Pandora, HD radio and I have a Logitech Squeezebox receiver so I now have more digital music that I could have possibly needed. If you are in the market for a fantastic preamp which is up to date with all the modern capabilities and sounds like a $10K preamp, then look no further. The cherry on the cake was that I got an incredible deal from Vanns.
