What the literature doesnt tell you is that HDMI audio cannot be transferered to your TV - in other words, if you run a cable box in through the HDMI inpuit, the sound cannot come out of the TV Speakers. The BR disc audio will, but any device that connects to the box via HDMI must output sound to the surround speakers. This is NOT revealed in any literature, only found out after 30 min on phone with Samsun Tech Support.

It is what I suspected. However, the instructions are very poorly translated from Chinese and not real well done. Supposidly comes with all necessry cables, but this not true. Needed an optical cable for the TV to connect the audio to the receiver. Both brand new Samsung products, neither one cheap. Poor planning by Samsung. Whould really be concerned for a customer who was not a techno person. Im certainly not a geek but understand instructions and can read. Not with these instructions. Ouch! Performance is as suspected and it meets the planned needs,. Like the integrated Blue-ray player. Like the ability to build my own home theater with this receiver, not accept something the manuf. thinks is right. Better equipment, better design, petter performance.

The ability to watch HD 3D movies on a receiver without the need to purchase a separate Blu-Ray player was the main reason that drove me to this particular item.
My computer monitor, my HDTV, my cell phone, my Blu-ray ROM, my cable box are all from SAMSUNG!
The bang for the buck is unmatched.
Vanns had some of the best deals that the internet has ever seen.
This receiver has a 7.2 and wi-fi built-in, feature-packed.
