| This product has just about everything a high end amplifier does and for half the price. The ability to upscale to 720p from any video connection and output through HDMI is a godsend and works great. Between an HTPC and Xbox360 on optical-component, HD-DVD-Blu Ray player on HDMI, and XM radio connectivity built in, Onkyo does it all in one box for relatively cheap. The setup is easy, the on screen menus are simple and functional, and the Audyssey auto-speaker configuration tunes your speakers distance, level, and calibration perfectly. As an amateur audiophile I can definitely say that this amplifier has everything you could want and more for less than 500 dollars. Brilliance on a budget to the extreme. |

| Got the Onkyo over the Holidays and couldnt be happier. Originally had the Sony 910 and after setup and testing some DVDs the Sony had a bad humminghissing noise. The sound quality is much better with the Onkyo. I found the setup to be a little easier with the Sony, however after reading the manual it wasnt bad. The sound is full and clear with the Onkyo 605. Have the TV, DVD player running through the Onkyo remote. It is very easy to use. I am very happy with my purchase and feel much better about the quality of the Onkyo vs. the Sony. I like the fact that it is 1.3 ready. It also has Dolby True HD and DTS HD. I wish it had 1 more HDMI input, but it should be fine. Look at all of the reviews, the Onkyo 605 is one of the highest rated, best value receivers on the market. I have it hooked up to Cambridge soundworks surround sound speakers with a Infinity subwoofer. The overall sound is excellent, I highly recommend this product. | I bought this Onkyo to replace another Onkyo which was larger and tended to overheat alot. This new Onkyo offerd the same performance with a lower wattage and tends to run alot cooler. It was easy to set up right out of the box, and with the Audessey 2 setup for the speakers, it makes it realy easy to get all your speakers rocking! Great for adding HDMI components and hooking up all my equipement was a breeze! |

| This product does it all Dolby Digital Plus, D Dolby true H D, and D TS -H D Master multichannel audio formats for B l u-Ray and H D-DVD players. The receiver decodes a lot at the write price, with very good quality.I highly recommend this product. |
