Being a audio lover since,I was a teen .I have had more then my shares of ,receiver and amps.Everything from yamaha to harmon kardon. It was time to update,my yamaha receiver,which meant I needed to audition,a few new receiverse.After listening to the onkyo NR809,and Marantz SR6006, I was taken back ,by Marantz,lively and detailed spacious soundstage,it had warm and vibrate tones,like a classical piano. It was a no brainer,fell in love right there,order my Marantz the next,day .The setup was easy,and the Adyssey recalibrated,,my speakers to perfection. Have to say,Iit nice to be able to hearHD RADIO,bottom line,I love music and ,and ,I enjoyed every detail notes,I hear from this receiver.I definetly would recommend it,to any music lover.

The Marantz SR6006 is just what I needed to complete my home theater system with all the added features, airplay and the MX101 sold separately make it the perfect receiver for my surround sound system. I am not an audiophile by any means, but the warmth of the sound that this receiver produces is one, I believe, you can only get through a Marantz receiver. The SR6006 has not only the beauty of the old style receivers, but also the power of todays modern technology. If you buy this receiver you will be pleased.

I havent looked at any receiver for quite a few years, and many of them, especially something like the Marantz SR6006, have so many new and useful features that help opened up all sorts of possibilities
- The Audyssey MultEQ-XT makes setting up the entire home theater so much easier
- The network connection allows location-independent access to itself and music libraries throughout a home network
- The internet radio allows listening to radio stations all over the world
- Of course, the fundamental performance as a receiver is very good too, allowing multiple ways to connect and trigger outboard amplifiers and speakers
The only negative is the very small display of this model, pretty much necessitating a monitor be connected to it at all times to allow easier navigation of all the programs and settings.
I am very happy with this purchase.
