The brains of the operation
Put the Denon AVR-2112CI at the heart of your home theater. With six HDMI v1.4 inputs, a composite video input, a component video input, and eight different audio inputs, this AV receiver is prepared to handle all of your AV sources. It's even capable of 3D pass-through and has Audio Return Channel capabilities. It gets better, though. An ethernet port opens up even more entertainment options, including internet radio, streaming from top content providers, music from iTunes (using AirPlay), music or photos from your Windows 7 PC, and media from other DLNA-compliant devices. The front USB port also allows you to play your personal media from sources like flash drives or MP3 players. It even supports direct digital play for iOS devices via USB. The AVR2112CI supports all the latest formats too, including Dolby TrueHD and dts-HD Master Audio. And you can count on high-quality sound from this Denon receiver with its discrete channels and direct mechanical ground construction. Each of the seven channels is rated for 90W so your audio will still sound great when you turn it up. Plus, you can even set it up for two-source/two-zone playback! This is the receiver you'll want running the show in your setup.
What's in the box?
Included with purchase is the receiver, Getting Started guide, CD-ROM owner's manual, warranty card, service network list, remote control, 2 AA batteries, setup microphone, AM loop antenna, and FM indoor antenna.

Awesome receiver with all the power you could need, that comes in a very stylish design. Reading the Owners Manual makes the system very easy to use, with straight forward controls, and an array of features at your fingertips. The 6 HDMI ports enable you to use a wide array of additional equipment. I like being able to choose whether to use the sound from my tv alone or to turn on the Denon and be engulfed with breathtaking sound. Another feature I love is being able to plug my ipad and mp3 player into the front usb port of the receiver. The thing that influenced my decision first and foremost was the Denon name which stands for excellent products at an affordable price, as well as the 3D capability and 7.1 channel surround sound. With the newer movies coming out, you definitely notice a difference with the 7.1 channel surround sound. I had a Denon 1712 receiver that I replaced with this 2112. I am a definite Denon fan, and this is the BEST of the 3 that I own, even though this 2112 is not the top model that I currently own. I would highly recommend this receiver to anyone that is setting up their own home theatre system. With our Denon, we no longer go out to movie theatres or pay high ticket prices, because this receiver is every thing they have, but in the comfort and convenience of our home!

Exceeded my expectations! This receiver offers a lot for the money. It powers my 8000 series Definitive Technology surround system with ease. The receiver is easy to use and extremely easy to set up. The Audyssey Multi EQ XT works great! The features included such as Airplay, Networking, saveload options and so many more are great! This is my first Denon receivercoming from Yamaha and I can tell you for the Audyssey alone I will buy their product from now on. It does not get hot and offers great sound. The video output is great but I do not know if it is the receiver or my Samsung PN654D7000 Plasma doing the work. Either way, stop researching on what receiver to buy and decide on this one. I went through so many reviews and auditioned too many competing receivers before I landed on this gem. Buy now and buy from VANNS!

Ive had the Denon AVR 2112CI for a couple weeks. For inputs I have a Panasonic Plasma and Panasonic Blu-ray, Denon cd player with Mirage Prestige 5 speakers and an MM8 sub all from Vanns. Its great! Im very happy with the performance of the receiver. The set-up wizard does a great job with adjusting the speakers. The remote controls all my components. The receiver also turns on automatically and I can use my TV remote to increase the volume of the receiver! The iPodiPad app is also useful in controlling the receiver and the kids love being able to play their tunes wirelessly over the system. The set-up menu takes a little getting used to, but its not too bad.

I had an older Denon receiver that died after 12 years so I was definitely considering another Denon purchase. Requirements Airplay for iTunes support, iPhoneiPad app support for remote control from the backyard, Internet services Pandora, etc., 5.1, multizone to support a seperate music source to my speakers in the back yard. Overall I am extremely pleased with the purchase. The free Denon app is not very good so I will probably replace it with one of the highly recommended other ones. Im still tweeking the setup and learning more about all the functionality so Im expecting to be even more pleased in the near future.

Having not purchased a home theater receiver in many many years, there was much to evaluate in all the new products. Obviously, one can spend a ton for top of the line or go very cheap. I tend to look towards upper middle class...however, with the Denon AVR 2112CI, I feel that I was getting huge quality and performance for a great price. So far, everything works perfectly. We have an Xbox, PS3, Wii, Comcast HD-DVR, and a 55 Sony Bravia connected to the unit, running it to new JAMO S-606 speakers no subwoofer yet. It was extremely simple to set up, and the sound was OK when we first turned things on. It wasnt until we performed the Audyssey MultEQ XT calibration that the speakers came to life! - and man, did they come to life! Airplay works really well, too - in fact, my son simply discovered it on his own - ran upstairs and said, Dad, come quick, you gotta see this! Incredibly pleased with the Denon, and I have room to upgrade to 7.1 in the future!

Nice Mid-Level Receiver
Review By no means am I an audiophile but I have had this unit for about 2 weeks and love it. I had ordered a Pioneer VSX-33 for a price similar to this from another online retailer and after receiving a defective unit and having a horrible customer svc experience, went back to the drawing board. After doing some more research, landed on this Denon given the positive reviews on sound quality and didnt hurt that the model number is 2112, which any Rush fan would appreciate. After waiting for a price drop from Vanns, finally pulled the trigger. Getting the unit up and running was a breeze, from speaker set up to inputs and internet. Also, the Audessey calibration was spot-on. As others have noted, the GUI is rudimentary and leaves a lot to be desired, but to me that is not a big deal as Im more concerned with sound and not looking to impress guests with some fancy menu display on my TV. AIrPlay has run pretty much flawlessly since I set it up I updated the firmware immediately, though there are points where volume fluctuates here and there without reason. Perhaps its because my old receiver a Pioneer was 10 years old, but I find the sound out of this unit to be so much more full and rich. The instruction manual only comes on CD, but being an environmentally-conscience guy, I dont mind that too much. Heck, if you need it in hardcopy, print it out! My next step is to update the speakers, but I think this is a great receiver to start a mid-level system around. As with my prior Vanns experience, happy with the online ordering and free delivery.

I had originally gotten the Yamaha 867 AVR and was disappointed with the sound quality. The sound was too small and confined. After hearing a bit more about Denon sound, I decided to go a little bit higher in price and got the AVR 2112. Out of the box, the set up was extremely easy. The redesigned GUI was easy to follow and the AVR was easy to set up. The Audyssey setup was extremely easy and gave amazing sound out of the box. Much better then the Yamaha YPAO. A few minor tweaks for personalized preference and I am quite amazed by the sound. Instead of confined and small sound, it is a very wide and clean. I have not used the internet and AirPlay options yet, but they appear excellent.

The title says it all! I contemplated many comparable models before making my decision. I wanted a strong amp, the latest technology and great build quality at a reasonable price. When I bought this, I received more than I bargained for. I really have to credit Denon as well as Vanns with my approval. The receiver was easy to set up and the Audyssey XT set up my speakers and subwoofer better than I could have by ear. The Internet radio and web based setup worked great with my pc, mac, iPhoneipad etc!! The denon iPhone app is great. There were minor bugs here and there but denon fixed most of them with the latest update. The only thing I can criticize is the manual is only online and may be difficult for new folks that arent familiar with the latest technology. With that being said. I love this AVR and I got it for the lowest price I could find! I gave Vann’s a call and not only did I receive the best price, but I received great customer service and support. Thank you Vanns and Denon!!
