When purchasing home theather equipment the center channel is perhaps the most important speaker component. Center channel speakers carry the bulk of sounds during a movie as they handle most of the dialouge. Loud effects are handled by the subwoofer and other extraneous sounds handled by the surround speakers. Therefore if your looking for a great center channel speaker I can without reservation recomend the SC-1. The drivers are large enough to handle fairly low frequencies and the horns handle the midrange and highs wonderfully. The speaker is well built and not so large that placement becomes an issue. The magnetically sheilded SC-1 shows no interference on my telivison set that it is perched directly atop. This is a great center channel speaker that would satisfy critical and casual listners alike.

The Klipsch synergy speaker series provides top notch sound for a modest price bracket. Because the center channel is the most pivotal speaker in a surround system, I wanted to ensure I had a product that would reproduce the movie theatre experience. The SC-1 provides a clear highs, acurate mid-range, and sharp bass. It is a must have for any person seeking to create a top-notch system. Add in the excellent price, I don't see how anyone could not choose the synergy series.

I've placed this speaker with my Klispch Floor standing speakers. At first, they overwhelmed the floor standers when I first hooked them up until I turned the center channel gain into the negative territory! These are awsome sounding speakers with a crisp presence and rich full room filling sound with movies and music. You must have a center speaker for the Dolby Digital experience! This top notch handsome speaker will be all you need for years.

When the lights go down and the show starts we count on our equipment to transport us beyond ourselves into the world movie directors and sound technicians have created for us to enjoy. Klipsch has been a part of this bit of story telling magic from almost the beginning of the artform itself. The Synergy series SC1 center channel speaker provides clear, articulate, dialogue and a sense of presence and depth that truly adds to the listening experience of movies or music. I recentley watched Master and Commander and was amazed that the dialogue was not lost during the battle or storm sequences and every nuance was clearly decernable. Klipsch's compression loaded horn and two mid woofers provide excellent mid and highs and the 95db efficiency rating means you don't need a lot of power to get great sound and dynamics from this first rate piece of home theatre equipment. This speaker should work just fine in all but the largest of settings and if you need more speaker there is always the Klipsch SC3. The SC1 is a great value. You could spend hundreds more and not get a speaker that performs as well. I purchased a KlipschVelodyne bundle from Vanns and could not be happier with the service or products I received. Just push the add to cart button, you won't be disappointed.

A close friend of mine recently wowwed me with his home theater system comprising a Yamaha RX-Z series receiver and Klipsch Reference series speakers. Consequently, I ended up buying Klipsch Synergy series SF-1s, SC-1, and SB-1s to complete my system.
The SC-1 is quite heavy so I do not recommend placing directly on top of your TV. The shape allows for placement underneath and angled upward but not vise-versa. Ideally you want speakers directed at ear level so plan accordingly when choosing your TV standentertainment center.
Soundwise, the SC-1 is very efficient and crisp in dialogue reproduction. It is capable of producing a wide frequency range for those who like to tweak their receiver's equalizer settings. In my case, the Yamaha RX-V750 I have comes with many preset sound fields and the SC-1 is able to handle all very well.
My rating speaks for itself, the Klipsch Synergy series speakers are unbeatable in value for their effiency, clarity, and price!

I have long been familiar with the Klipsh name as one of the premier speaker manufacturers in the world. Now that I have finally gotten a chance to own one I am very satisfied. As a center speaker it reproduces the vocal tracks with exceptional clarity. It helps make my living room a better place to enjoy a movie than a movie theatre.

Wow, this Klipsch sounds great. I picked it because it was the largest center that would fit in my cabinet, but am not the least bit disapointed in the sound. Vanns had the best price and shipping was faster than any other online site I have ever used.
