For listening to music as it was intended 2ch this is the greatest receiver.... plenty of power, excelent tone and presence through the entire volume spectrum..... this receiver is as clear as a bell..... and built like a tank. Im taking the output from my computer sound card 24 bit.... I have Paridigm speakers and a Velodyne Subwoofer.... dont let the 80ws per channel fool you..... this amp puts out more power than those rated at 100 or 105 per channel,
One intersting fact I stumbled upon.... although there isnt a seperate control for the sub out... once you get the sub itself set.... when you turn up or down the bass tone on the amp..... it increases or decreases the output to the sub.....so you can control the sub by just cranking in or out the bass tone.. very handy for low volume playing....
Ive had most every type of receiver out there the Harman Kardon beats them all....
