These outdoor speakers are pretty darn good for the price. They sound just as good if not better than the speaker they replaced at almost half the cost.

I installed these speakers about a week ago. The instructions were quite clear, and all the hardware I needed was included except for the actual screws used to mount the device to the wall. Yamaha does not include screws since each installation is different and the end-user is better off selecting their own.
The sound quality is quite good considering the size and cost of these speakers. They are complemented by a nice Yamaha subwoofer I already had. The speakers are well-designed and aesthetically pleasing.
Overall, a good product.

At 16x20 I dont have a huge area to cover outside, but these speakers are way more than capable of covering it and then some! When I first got them I hooked them up inside the house just to make sure they were ok and was pleasantly surprised at how good they sounded. My indoor speakers are KEF s, not a fair comparison I know, but the Yamahas were holding their own. They sounded a little boxy, but the bass was more than I thought I would get and the mids and highs were right where they should be.
These speakers work GREAT for the price. I have them set up under the eaves of the house and find myself turning them down when I want to have a conversation with someone. They can put out the sound when I want them to. I feel like I got a great speaker at a price I feel i stole them at.

I read some really good reviews on these outdoor speakers so I gave them a shot. They are not going to blow you away but you will be pleasantly surprised and for an outdoor speaker they do a good job. It is much better than bringing my Klipsch iPod dock out for music. I installed them under my covered porch so they will not see a lot of rain just the Jersey heat and freezing temps that I expecting them to live through. My only concern is that the white housings will yellow over time. Other than that it is a great value.

I am not a huge audio person. I do have surround sound etc in our living room and was looking for a good set of outdoor speakers for our patio.
These speakers sound really good. Not cheap sounding at all. They are made in china but feel solid as far as the build quality. They feel a bit light for the size of the speakers but I think that is because of the plastic water-resistant material. Bottomline they are getting the job done.

These outdoor speakers have been installed for one week. They replaced a pair of very inexpensive speakers that just did not hold up to the weather. The Yamaha set was easy to install, and have features that appear to protect speaker wires from the elements. Very pleased with the sound quality so far. Solid bass, carries well outside. Hope to enjoy these for a long time to come.

To pairs of Yamaha NSAW150 speakers were inserted back to back in the left and right side of a large auditorium four speaker sound system which was seriously deficient in full range accustic sound response to main floor and sound attenuated balcony listeners. The quality of resulting audio reinforcement from the NSAW150'is excellent for physical size and frequency response. Quality of construction in product is remarkable. Mounting hardware positioning to walls or ceilings include brass threaded insert bushings with machined brass capture nuts for durable accustical positioning. Voice coil terminal posts are optioned for direct speaker wire attachment or plugged termination. These units are high quality products honestly meeting elements of advertised specification. As a practicing sound engineerinstaller,I recommend the integrity of Yamaha's NSAW150 product for audio delivery in areas of sound performance application.A very quality product for the cost.
