| The only problem I had with this turntable was getting it to connect to my computer. I expected the turntable to have phono connection on the back of it, instead it had a wire coming out of the back with two phono connections. Since I already had a cable with two phono plugs to a stereo mini plug, I was disappointed. I had to go to Radio Shack and buy a phono plug to stereo mini plug adapter. It was a minor expense, but very inconvenient for me. Other than that, the turntable is great. This is my first turntable purchase, so I don't know if this is the standard connection method used, but I didn't think it was. I figured that putting connectors on the back of the unit was a lot cheaper than running a cord with phono plugs on the end. |

| You can purchase more expensive turntables but I thought I'd go the more conservative route first. I was not disappointed in the Sony PS-LX250H for $99.99. It was easy to setup, functionality was great, and the sound quality excellent. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that is wanting to enjoy their record collection on a reasonable budget. |

| I was pleasantly surpised with the sound quality from my old records as played through the Sony PS-LX250H purchased from Vann's. It was very easy to set up and use and feel it is an excellent value for the money. My only criticsm is that the tone arm comes down on the turntable to abruptly, causing an annoying "pop" as the needle hits the record. |

| If you have those old records laying around this is a great, low cost quality turntable you can hook-up to most stereo systems to play those albums. I am amazed at how well those old records play and the simplicity of using this turntable. |

This basic turntable works fine. I was disappointed that I would not be able to use an after market cartridge, but that seems to be it's only failing.

| The Sony PS-LX250H turntable is an inexpensive turntable which provides the basic features needed to play my favorite 33 and 45 rpm vinyls again. The unit is very easy to setup. The turntable controls are intuitively easy to understand, and did not require use of the manual to start spinning the tunes. The unit's performance is been excellent. I highly recommend it as an excellent turntable for the money. |

| This is just the perfect product for a basic unit. It does a wonderful job of playing my old records. The only problen I had with the hook-up , was the lenght of the phono connection wire and plugs. I had to cut a snall hole in the divider wall between my tuner and where the turntable sits. But that was my problem, and not the fault of Sony. The unit makes my old records sound better then they have for years, and this is a great unit for the money. |

| This is an excellent turntable for the money, short rca cables aside. My old turntable was in excellent condition except it was missing a dust cover and it had no preamp. This was fine until I decided to upgrade my reciever/tuner to a new home theatre type. I have yet to find a good reciever in the home theatre category that has a phono input, maybe the manufactures just assume that if one appreciates digital sound they would have no desire to listen to the clean, warm sound of analog through the same system. Well I wanted to do just that and this turntable with it's built in preamp made it possible. Another great thing about this unit is that the preamp can be turned off if your reciever/tuner does have a phono input. Again this model was a great deal and with the free shipping it was even more attractive to me. |

| I bought this for my wife because she was eye-ing my record collection, but I no longer have the means to play records and she mentioned that we should buy one of those "retro suitcase models that have a heavy stylus arm and mono sound". Well I thought that I would look around for a turntable with a pre-amp built in so I could hook it up to my wife's stereo (she doesn't like my old analog stereo). I was very pleased with this turntable, I can turn off the pre-amp for my old stereo if I want and it was a lot less expensive than the "suitcases". The only bad thing about it is it has only 2 speeds (33.3/45 rpm) which is ok for me because those are the only speed records that I have. The thing is pretty automatic, and has great features for the price. My wife can't get enough of my old records! |

| the turntable was very easy to connect to our computer and provides very good performance as far as sound goes. However, the controls failed almost immediately. When I push 'START' the tone arm moves over and drops onto the record, but immediately goes into stop mode without playing a note. It simply won't work with the controls. What I have to do is let it turn off and then manually take the tone arm and move it over the record and set it down. Moving the tone arm over the record turns it on, and then it works fine, cutting itself off when it gets to the end. It's annoying but sending it back would be more trouble, so I guess I'll just live with the malfunction. |

| My old Dual turntable had gone bad and wasn't worth a trip to the repair shop. Sight unseen, the cost of this Sony model was worth a try. Inexpensive and easy to put together. Easy to operate, since us older babyboomers can't read those tiny black buttons on some of the newer stereo equipment. And compact in size, since it had to fit in a cabinet where the old Dual had been. Took me back a few years to listen to those old LPs again. Vann's shipping was great! I ordered at 2 PM and Vann's had it on the FedEx truck before 5 PM. |

| Nice old but new addition to your home theatre system. My wife found her old records as her mother was cleaing out her house. She mentioned numerous times about having nothing to play them on. Although you can probably find every artist on cd or mp3 by now, theres nothing like that old LP with all the static to bring you back to your youth. Sony continues to produce these almost extinct items with the quality and dependability you can expect. My wife is thrilled to death and this turntable is as simple as it gets, plug in the power, plug in the RCA cables to you stereos auxiliary jack or phono jack and turn on or off the internal amp, simple as pie. With the one touch play buttons all you do is select the speed and record size, then hit play, the arm swings out and it does the rest all by itself, even turns itself off when the record is over, not even a power switch to mess with, great product with easy to use features. Directions could be clearer for the few assembly parts and operation, but if you can open the box, your almost there. |

| I purchased this turntable for my father, who is in a nursing home, so he could play his old LP records. This was a Christmas present and he was thrilled. He has macular degeneration, so he cannot see the controls, but these controls were simple enough for him to use by touch. The price was great and delivery was prompt. |

| This is a good, basic turntable. Not fancy but economical. I purchased it to tranfer lp's to my computer and was able to plug it directly into the computer. The sound quality is quite good after all, they're still vinyl. I have found no serious drawbacks. Not for the diehard serious audiophile but excellent for the average person. |
