I set up the speakers this last weekend and so far they sound pretty good. The manual says that they need to have a break in period of 50 hours. But will I notice a difference if they gradually improve over a weeks use? Initially I thought that my Bose 2.1 speakers sounded better with music, time will tell!

Really? $399 for sound like this. Stop looking and just buy these. You could spend hundreds of dollars on speakers but these are matched for each other and truly amazing in the way they enhance the total sound. My first dvd was Phantom of the Opera and I was amazed at how difficult it was to determine where the sound was coming from--it was just present in the room. Even the bass surprised me at how it thundered. I have about a 12 x 16 living room and these Micos were very adequate. They are absolutely beautifully finished. While I like seaching individual component speakers, I am certain I could never put together five speakers and a sub that would match this total sound package. Energy also included a mounting screw that would accept a rear L style mounting bracket the Sanus 3 from Vanns worked great for me because of this. I got these with my Amazon card through Vanns who provide FAST, free shipping.

I'm no audiophile, but had a 7.2 speaker system costing several times what I spent on the RC Micros which my ex took possession of. I was getting by on a pair of self-rebuilt bookshelf speakers that are nice, but 30 years old. When I watched a movie, I'd have to resort to headphones to make out the dialog. Well, I'd read the reviews on these speakers and decided to splurge. They company being bought by Klipsch didn't hurt my opinion of their company either. These speakers are small! But they more than fill my condo with its 18 foot ceilings. And they sound great right out of the box! I'm maybe 20 hours into the break-in period and really happy with them. I'm still playing with the receiver to get them perfect, but I'll played classical, Segovia, all kinds of rock, internet radio, vinyl, DVDs, iPod, regular radio, Jazz, CDs -- it all sounds great. Really rich sounds. And its nice having all the speakers contributing to the ambiance, so I can keep the volumes reasonable and still have clarity. I'm hearing distinct sounds I've not heard in a long time - like from my Super Audio CDs, which my ex also took possession of.
Great value in a small package!!!

I bought these speakers from Vanns for a great price and installed them for a friend in a small living room. Personally, I am used to large towers and a larger sub, and I thought these performed great. These speakers themselves have a very solid feel and a high-end look. Construction quality is top notch with no blemishes. I popped in a blu-ray Inception and was impressed at the big sound from this little speakers. I would give the speakers a 9 out of 10 rating. The sub was also impressive looking, and performed well for its size. Personally I am not a fan of smaller subs, so I would give it a 7 out of 10, but this is the best sounding 8 sub I have heard. All in all, if I needed to purchase a small system again, I would purchase the RC-Micro set again at this price point.

This is my first purchase from Vanns and my first review. I must say that it was a pleasure to purchase from Vanns. My representative was extremely knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. He guided me through a few different options on the website while we spoke on the phone.
I am very impressed with the Energy RC Micro speaker system. It was important for me to purchase something small in order to fit my small family room and keep the Mrs. happy. The sound is crystal clear and very realistic. I heard sound effects on my Wii that Ive never heard before. Tiger Woods-helicopters-cars-storms. I even thought it must have come from outside.
Movies are a dream to watch. The center channel is true and can produce even the softest mumbles of actors. Left and right channels work very well with each other. Rears are responsive too. The sub is awesome! It is a small housing that fits nicely anywhere. The bass can fill the room and give the effect of coming from the cubes.
Great on music too! Very clear vocals and instruments. Sirius on DishNetwork
All around a great product. I would very much recommend it to anyone interested.
