My intent was to find a main speaker primarily for music and secondarily for media. These things ROCK! I had been using a pair of tower RTR Loundspeakers and these blow them away! The sound is crystal clear at all volumes and well complimented by the 150 bookshelfs! They do appreciate the assistance of a sub when listening to metalrockhiphop but absolutely handle anything else classicalcountrypopularfolkcontempetc on their own.

I`ve been listening to the same old Jensen surround system ever since they came out ~nearly 10 years ago now~. I wanted to upgrade my old Sony Reciever at the same time so enter the 'purchase' and 'return' of 2 HTIB systems ~Home theaters sytems in a box~.
After not getting the sound I wanted from either the Sony 660 or the Pioneer HTP 3600, I opted to build a system piece by piece. I does take longer, and patience is a must, but your results will be well worth it.
My 1st HTIB was the Sony 660 which had a great price and the sound to match, YUK. All bass, no mids or highs and the receiver ran so hot, you could cook an egg on it. The Pioneer system had much better overall well matched sound, but it just lacked the clarity and high powered sound that technology can provide. Enter the decision to purchase Infinity`s line of Primus speakers. After weeks of reading into the reviews of other Primus users and sound critics around the world, it was clear that for the price, these speakers will out perform speakers costing 10x as much.
As all the info above will remain the same in my 3 reviews, I will review in detail each speaker running in my Primus system The C25 center channel, the ~2~ 150 BKS rear or surrounds, and the ~2~ 360 BK front towers all powered by a Pioneer VSX-815-K.
The 360`s BK`s will arrive well padded double boxed from Vanns in huge boxes. The speaker itself is heavy, 50 lbs. All the front edges are routered down to a 1' bevel and the speaker cover actually wraps around the front for a streamline look. The dual 6 1~2' MMD woofers will make you wonder how such deep, heavy bass can come out of speakers of this size. It covers explosions from your favorite action movie that will rattle your windows and punchy bass via bass guitar is emulated as if he was playing in your living room. I see no need to purchase a subwoofer unless you really want to shake the silver out of the neigbors pantry. If that`s your thing, cool, but I never though bass could actually 'sound' this good at a high level.
The single 4' MMD mid a perfect compliment to handle all the midrange levels that that the 360`s encounter. The placement of them at the top of the tower was at first odd to me. Then, you realize why Infinity is at the top of the sound chain. The level is just perfect at a normal sitting position on your couch or lazy chair so that the mids are aimed right at you. See, there is a reason these 360`s are so highly touted.
Not to forget about the MMD tweeter to scream out any and all levels up to 20,000Hz. They play LOUD with CRISP highs and cover the full spectrum of sound. They will fill your room with so much sound that you`ll think the band is right in your living room.
Basicly, look no further than the Primus 360`s for your stereo or home theater systemor. I wouldn`t trade these for anything...they look COOL and SOUND even better!
So it took me about 4 months to research, decide on and assemble a superb high quality home theater system. With the help of Vanns, I now own a speaker system that I though I would never be able to afford, nor, did I ever think music and movies could ever sound this good!
~please do see my other reviews for the rest of my Primus family of speakers, the C25 and 150`s....but please be aware that the temptation may be to much to handle and may find yourself with a new Primus speaker system from the best in the business, Infinity~

Bought as replacements for my shredded Infinity SM 15's. Seems New Year's Eve was a little too hard on the aged surrounds of the woofers. Definately don't have the punch the 15's did but I added a big sub about a year ago so the speakers were overkill and wasting space. Anyway the Primus 360's make a great choice for home theater front channels. Sound is very clean and accurate. Very nice look for the price and the wife is happy that the speakers take up way less room.

My budget didn't allow for shopping on the 'upper' end of the tower speaker market, but I've been buying audio equipment for years so I know a little about good and bad sound quality. If your looking for great sound good quality at a reasonable price, you definitly should consider the primus 360's. Very good bang for buck, a huge factor on my shopping trip. A great performing tower speaker plus bonus ...they look good doing it.
