First introduced in 1959, the Klipsch Cornwall speaker was designed to serve as a larger, full-range alternative, an upgrade, to the Heresy when used as a center channel speaker between two widely spaced Klipschorns. When it was discontinued in 1990, there was an outcry from consumers resulting in a letter-writing campaign and even a petition to bring back this storied loudspeaker. The result? The new Cornwall III, an integral part of the ongoing Heritage Series from Klipsch. Like all Klipsch products, the Heritage Series Cornwall III features Horn-loaded Technology -- the guiding design for the first Klipschorn developed in 1946 and for every product that has followed. A friend of mine bought a pair of Heresys in the early 80s and I have wanted a pair ever since. The Heresy III fully lives up to my expectations. Coupled with my vintage pioneer amp and Yamaha turntable I now have an awesome vintage system. Dust off your old records, hook up a turntable, connect your Heresys and have a ball.
