I purchased a set of Heresys in Holland about 1977. They are still being used today and still sound great. I have always played them loud and hard. But as theater speakers they still come through.

I purchased a pair of these through the outlet a few years ago. Although these *only go down to about 58 Hz, I have these with a Klipsch RSW-10d and WOW, my entertainment room...along with the rest of the house shakes....For some the horns are or can be bright and some may experience listening fatigue, I for one love the sound from these Klipsch speakers & Sub. When I listened to them in the outlet speakers only the large showroom was rockin .
I wish I had a tube amp to hook them up to and a turntable, ah well. These along with my TV and other speakers give me no reason to go to the theater anymore. Waiting for the Blu-ray is cheaper than my fiancé and I going to the movies, we dont waste gas and an exorbitant amount of money on snacks.
But I digress...These Heresy speakers can be Bi-Wired, for cleaner sound. These are not Bookshelf these weigh 44 lbs each unboxed! With a 99dB @ 1watt1meter just about any amp will have no problem pushing them. Because the 12 Woofer is not self powered you are clipped at 58 Hz, but as I stated above use a Sub with these and sit back and enjoy. Yea these are not Bowers & Wilkins Nautilus™ Speakers, but for me and mine these are fantastic!

Heresy III line of speakers are very compact for placement in smaller rooms where Cornwalls or others might not fit.
Speakers offer excellent high & mid-range response for jazz, classical or vocal music.
Some reviews pan the Heresy line for their lack of bass response. That might be misleading if reviewers are referring to what I call bass in your face.
Bass in the Heresy III line offers much more realistic laid back sound reproduction where a listener can actually hear fingers on say, an acoustic bass.
No bass in your face plus almost unbeatable mid-range response make Heresy III speakers best bang for the bucks.

Best bang for the buck bookshelf size speakers period!!!! Accurate and precision with ultra mega power output just don't do these little monsters justice. If you like it loud and clear and want symphony hall in your house look no further.

A friend of mine bought a pair of Heresys in the early 80s and I have wanted a pair ever since. The Heresy III fully lives up to my expectations. Coupled with my vintage pioneer amp and Yamaha turntable I now have an awesome vintage system. Dust off your old records, hook up a turntable, connect your Heresys and have a ball.
