Grant yourself a new experience with sound
This third-generation Synergy bookshelf speaker model benefits from more than fifty-five years of Klipsch engineering experience. Every aesthetic upgrade represents a new quality of craftsmanship. Every new model is a refinement upon the last. Treat yourself to a winning combination of powerful bass with remarkable detail and high volumes with low distortion, a perfect delivery source for today's advanced digital music formats. The B-3's 6.5" IMG woofer and 1" aluminum-dome compression driver is coupled to an exclusive square Tractrix Horn. It also features a rear-mounted port that increases efficiency and extends bass response.
Tactrix what?
Tractrix Horns have always been the key component of many Klipsch speakers. It's a horn-shaped device inside the speaker that sends sound effortlessly into the room. The Tractrix Horn's carefully calculated flare dramatically increases driver efficiency, allowing production of very high sound levels with minimal amplifier power and no strain or distortion. It also controls the sound's directivity, ensuring excellent coverage of the listening area while minimizing detail-obscuring reflections off of walls, floor, and ceiling. Fed by a smooth, accurate titanium-dome tweeter, the Tractrix Horn is the key to the vibrantly realistic, emotionally compelling Klipsch Sound Experience.
Are you dainty or are you NOT
Look. You can have it both ways. Say you want your wife to know you are a real gentleman, with fine, genteel tastes. But say you also don't want your football buddies to know that. With its grille on, the Synergy B-3 offers a sense of elegance that nicely blends in with your home décor, but take the grille off and you get an aggressive and powerful statement that exudes extreme performance. So when the wife is home, keep the grille on. But when she isn't home, there's nothing going to stand between you and SUPREME SPEAKER POWER.

Real nice pair of speakers. And for the price that you get them from Vanns you cant beat it. Read the online reviews on these speakers, they are a great deal at twice the price.
I got them for my office, but when they arrived I tested them against my home speakers, a quite expensive pair of Boses. To my surprise they held they own very nicely, especially reproducing the highs. Its when I started pushing the low base, that you could hear the limitations... but thats was already mentioned by professional reviews online.
Overall these speakers perform great, for the mere fraction of the price. And Vanns sells them for half less then anyone else! Very happy with the purchase.

I have always wanted to own a pair of Klipsch speakers. AND NOW I DO! These B3s are everything I thought they would be. Crisp sharp truthful highs, smooth textured mids and plenty of tight crisp bass. HEY THEY ALSO LOOK NICE TOO. I am using them as surrounds since they fit perfectly with my old JBL L80 t3S and my KLIPSCH ACADEMY CENTER. Ahhhh! SONIC MATCH IN MY HOME THEATRE AT LAST!. They excel with a sub but have enough bass and presence to fill a room satisfactorily!. FIT AND FINISH ARE SUPERB. Placement is a bit problematical. I have in the past turned speakers upside down and put the tweeter on the bottom depending on the acoustics of my room in use. These have what I call a skull cap. Its what makes the rounded appearance on the top of the speaker. No upside down placement for these babies. BUT THE PORT IS ON THE BACK, MAKING IT EASY TO ADJUST THE BASS OUTPUT RESPONSE! GREAT FOR SMALLER ROOMS! Your going to want to keep the speaker covers off for a while because they look so cool and tech! You can rock with these speaks! The sound is sharp, smooth and very refined. PRECISE LIKE THE WAY JBL DOES IT. MUSICAL TRUTH AND BEST OF ALL NO RUDE SOUNDS AT HIGHER VOUMES OR A FLOOD OF MUD WHEN THEY ARE TURNED DOWN! I finally got my KLIPSCH AND BOY DID I MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION! Now for the one fly in the ointment more expensive Klipsch have magnetic attachments for the speakers. I think more as not to show that these more expensive speakers are justified with a further touch of uniqueness. I have to say that speaker manufactures across the board do not spend nearly enough thought on the covers and the fact that some people take them off and put them on endlessly just because they like to. JUST LIKE ME. What I am saying is that the covers are the average. NOT BAD NOT GOOD. JUST COVERS. BUT LETS FACE IT YOU GOT THEM FOR THE GREATTTTT! SOUNDS. BUY THESE AND YOU CAN BET YOU WILL ROCK! BUT IF YOU LIKE A GOOD CONCERTO AND NO HAIR BAND THEN I GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE JUST AS HAPPY AS THE MALL RAT WITH A PAIR IN HIS ROOM BON APPETIT!!!!!!

These speakers go from the lowest mid range to way past my hearing range. Combining the B3s with my JBL powered Sub and my small Boston Acoustics bookshelf rear channel speakers provides the best overall combination I have used. I have always been a fan of acoustic suspension systems. Tthe B3s replaced comparable but worn out Infnity Bookshelf acoustic suspension systems. Tthe controlled bass and mid range of the B3s is amazing considering their small low range cones combined with a tuned ports. The horn tweeters disperse very well, for a great stereo image. My son recommended Klipsch and he was right! The only reason for the 4 on performance is that they are a bit bright without a subwoofer. Most of my listening is Classical and Jazz.

I want to share my surround sound experience in hopes that others my benefit from it. First I had a cheap $300 surround sound stereo kit in a box. It did the job until I bought my first set of B3s. They sounded good but didnÂ’t have very much bass. At this point I didnÂ’t know what to expect from the somewhat small woofer. I also had a monster Klipsch 12 sub so I didnÂ’t need any more bass. One day I got an Onkyo HT-RC160 from a friend. This unit is much more powerful. The range that came from the B3s was amazing . The highs where clean and crystal clear. The bass was also very powerful. The bass is clean and rich with a punch without being boomy like a big sub. They vibrate the plates in the kitchen and picture frames in the bookshelf. I brought the friend over to hear the new setup without the sub. He thought the sub was still working compared to the older lower powered receiver there wasnÂ’t much bass.
Then I decided to buy 2 more B3s to replace the 2 rear satellite speakers. This made a huge difference with movies and games. Having all full range speakers makes the sounds that come from any speaker sound real and directional instead of a high pitched sound from the speaker and the bass from the sub in a different location. Also sound effects like a helicopter or plane flying over sounds so much different since it has full range in all speakers instead of relying on the sub for the bass. Also sounds like footsteps or gunshots are so much more realistic now. In the traditional surround sound setup that is becoming the norm... listeners donÂ’t realize what they are missing by not having full range speakers in the front and rear. In fact the subsatellite setup is ruining the sound quality of popular systems today. I would contend that you donÂ’t even need a sub with 4 Klipsch B3s. I dont use mine anymore.
2 are great especially for listening to stereo music but 4 is unbelievable. It completes the system like it should be. In fact high level sound testing rooms like the Dolby codec testing room are setup with all channels including the center as full range speakers for this reason.
Buy them... you wonÂ’t be sorry especially if you have a normal small speaker-sub setup. These are becoming hard to find in stores to demo. Vanns has the best price I have seen online or in stores at least at the time I purchased them. Their shipping was fast and packaging was appropriate for the heavy box. THANKS!

As a long time Klipsch fan and owner I didnt have to be told this pair of speakers using Klipschs 6.5 woofers and 1 horns would sound good. That can go without saying along with the very nice option to use the black portective covers or go bare and still look good.
I purchased two pairs. The amazing thing was the price! B3 Klipschs for the price I paid was very surprising. That has to be one fo the most amazing bargains I have seen in a long time. These are bookshelf speakers, but they provide excellent base and very clear highs. I am using 2 as presence speakers in my 7.1 Yamaha system along with my Klispch F3s, C3, S2s and 15 Earthquake sub woofer. They have made an amazing difference in the hall effects as well as overall sound quality in all modes using the presence speakers. The other pair went into my bedroom as fronts in a 5.1 system but primarily for music and I am very well satisfied in both applications.

With limited budget on bookself speakers, I found that B-3 from Klipsch could be the one that I wanted. Last winter, I visited a small local bookstore in Korea to find some books to read. In there great sound was coming from the back of the store. Without hesitation, I went to the back to see which speakers are playing that crisp sound. It was Klipsch hersey. The owner didnt even know what the brand name of the speakers was. cuz the current owner took all the business from the previous owner entirely. Since that time Klipsch was in my mind as a dream speaker. But I couldnt afford that highend ones, instead, I have searched some small but comparably powerful ones. B-3 although its a bit old model, was enough for me to be satisfied with the sound. It plays digital sound so well with the horn type tweeter and bass. Im using old sony model HTIB. I took out the front speakers and replaced them with B-3s. It surpassed the sony surround speakers. So now I need to find a pair of surround speakers for the back. Otherwise having xf-48 might be a good idea for the front and move b-3 to back. Lot of things to do af ter purchasing the samsung LED 46inch TV. But its a pleasure agony.

The Klipsch B-3s sound very good for their relatively small size. Im using them along with a subwoofer in my living room and am very happy with them. The vocals, especially, are very bright and clear. They sound good cranked up but also at lower volumes. Id recommend them for anyplace you dont have room for big, heavy tower speakers.

I recently bought a pair of Klipsch B3 speakers. Prior to purchase I researched the Klipsch brand by listening to Klipsch bookshelf speakers a price point above and below the B3 at local stores in my area. Pleased with the Klipsch sound I heard at these stores, and the value price I found on line for the B3s I purchased them for a friend as a birthday present. They exceeded my expectations in performance and appearence. My friend and I are very pleased. Im so pleased in fact Im thinking of buying a pair for myself even though I already have an excellent pair of speakers. Im looking for a room to put them in. I would recommend these speakers to anyone. Excellent sound!

These are probably the best speakers you can get in this price range. The price here is unmatched especially with free shipping.
If you are looking for speakers that can handle some power and output some sweet sounds. For a moderate budget these are the speakers for you. In a small room these speakers could definitely pass as mains.
As far as not having any base, I think these speakers will preform fine, but any audio system that has speakers such as this shouldnt be relying on the bookshelf speakers for bass.
I have little experience with audio products but that is my two cents.

I am not a sound engineer by any stretch of the imagination I enjoy good sound, but like the guy who pretends he can taste all the different components in some wine, I probably dont pick up the subtleties.
OK SO BUT what I needed were some speakers that could do the job of both enhancing TVMovie audio while also keeping a low profile serving as party, more background speakers. These definitely do the trick. The Klipsch B3 are perhaps a bit deeper than your average book case at least in my house and are a little tall. They dont blend in perfectly. But turned on their side dont freak out on me speaker police with books stacked around them, they fit and the sound is nice and rich.

I use these B-3s as my front speakers for a 7.1 surround sound system set-up. They rest upon a pair of Sanus 24 inch speaker stand so that the sound will be at ear level when listening. From the minute these bad boys were turned on, you could hear the crisp highs treble and moderate lows bass. If you are a bass lover I suggest you add a matching Klipsch sub, nothing less than a 10 inch though. These speakers do need a little break in to soften the woofer cones but after 2-3 hours of various types of music played on a moderate level 5-6 out of 10, the speakers are now perfect. I HIGHLY recommend these babies to any home theater enthusiast!

I originally was planning to purchase a small surround system but for the same price I was able to purchase Klipsch B3s, a C-1 center channel and S-1 surrounds. These speakers put any of the small home theater speakers to shame. The B3s are large for bookshelf speakers and the range is close to floor-standing speakers. They sound awesome and Im so glad that I checked Vanns before making my purchase. The low price and free shipping made it a great purchase.

These new Klipsch Synergy B3s are just the ticket. They are full and clear sounding with real good mids. I love that I can hear the rub of the fingers across the strings of a guitar on Dire Straits and the breathiness of Nora Jones vocals. And they produce sweet jazz tones that make me smile.
I recommend using a sub-woofer with these like I do. Having said that, I like the fact that the B 3s fill in the gap that between the highs and the subs bass notes with good low mid-tones way better than my old Yamaha NS 5290s. You hear the full spectrum of sound.

In the past I have purchased the Klipsch F-3s and a C-3. I was looking for the S-3 to round out my set. There were not to be found, so I turned to the B-3s. I did some reading and found quite a few people using these for surround sound. These sound great and match the rest of my speakers perfectly. They were a little larger than I expected but it has been well worth it. Now that I have upgraded my rears, the overall volume of my system is more in sync. The y replaced some old and very small rears. I watch a lot of movies and play video games on my system. I am hearing things in the rear that I never did before. ItÂ’s like a new movie and gaming experience for me.
If you love the Klipsch sound and particularly the Synergy line, it is hard to go wrong with these. I got them for a steal at 199.99, cheaper than the B-2s and almost as cheap as the B-1s. I fully expect to get many, many years of enjoyment.

My expectations were exceeded when firing up the Klipsch Synergy B3s. They are exciting to listen to providing excellent highs, mids and lows although I am running a sub-woofer with these also on my Yamaha amp. A regular occurring theme with Klipsch speakers is that you can expect performance quality speakers in all of their ranges, so the B-3 fits in nicely with the synergy series. Its stylish titanium look is a real draw card for the fashion conscious speaker shopper and their performance is not easily forgotten if you can see them working with a subwoofer in a home theater test environment. Ideally, you could ask for a little more low-end bass performance, but a proper setup should have a dedicated sub to make up for this anyway.
Pros
* Stylish titanium highlighting
* Value for Money
* Adequate Loudspeaker for Home Theater
Cons
* You must purchase a subwoofer

I ordered the Klipsch B3 speakers to use as back speakers in a surround sound system I am installing. Their size and technical capabilities seemed ideal. When they arrived I put them on top of two very good tower speakers I use in my home office and hooked them up to some mid-range electronics. to give them a test drive. For about a week I switched back and forth between the tower speakers for comparison. Both sounded very good. Over time I concluded that they met every need I had in my office without occupying the floor space I needed badly, so I moved the tower speakers to a room where their footprint isnt obtrusive, put the Klipsch speakers on top of solid bookshelves and have used them hours a day since. They fit the space and fill the room with big, detailed sound, far exceeding the performance I anticipated when I bought them for back speakers.
I listen primarily to classical orchestral music. For my most serious listening I have a nice high end system in my living room dedicated solely to music. I worried that speakers the size of the Klipsch would lead to listener fatigue in comparison. That has not happened. As I write, the Vanska version of Bruckners 3rd Symphony plays. and I enjoy.

Only one minor thing and that would be that they are extremely on the bright side, so after long use my ears get fatigue. At first i was using them for just music and realized this small problem, maybe because of my ears are really sensitive and when people just talk to me normally, my ears have a crisp sound from people just saying their ss. So i decided to switch them over and only use them for watching dvd movies and they are nothing short of maraculous. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!

I don't have room for floor standing speakers so after much research I chose the Klipsch B3 Bookshelf speakers. After hooking them up, a very simple task, all I can say is WOW! For small speakers they really pump out clean sound. I couldnt be happier. I was so pleased that I ordered the Klipsch center and the Klipsch surrounds. These speakers are well built and look great without the grills. If you are short on space you couldn't make a better choice! Overall a great buy!

When I researched the different types of Bookshelf Speakers, one name continued popping up. KLIPSCH! I was hesitant to purchase, as I am not a big audiophile. But the reviews got me to thinking. And now that I have them, I am amazed. For the price, these speakers are amazing. All the sound a novice would ever need. Connected alongside a $50 set of Logitech speakers 5 piece, they enhance and sync perfectly. These speakers will complement any setup. Thanks to Vanns, I recieved these quickly, and the customer service and notification system is second to none. Keeping me up to date on the Shipping process, and offering help for this and any product is something you rarely see nowadays. I will be purchasing more items from Vanns, Thank You.

This was my first order from Vanns but it wont be my last. The price selection and service were excellent.
I bought two pair of Klipsch B3 speakers for use with a Sonos Music System in a large living room. The B3 speakers deliver full balanced sound across all frequencies and both high and low volume levels and filled the room with great sound. I was a little concerned about buying the speakers without listening to them first but can honestly say after hooking them up and listening to them I was extremely happy with my choice.
I highly recommend the Klipsch B3 speakers and VannÂ’s.

I havent heard a set of Klipsch speakers yet that I didnt like. I now own seven of them. Theyre bright and detailed. They make great bass, never muddy. When you upgrade from your old speakers to Klipsch you will hear things in your favorite music that you never heard before. A singer taking a breath, a guitar player lightly brushing against the strings, background singers suddenly jump out. And right when you expect a loud passage to get harsh, they suprise you with their smoothness. You wouldnt think such delicate sounds could come out of something as clunky looking as those horns!
Now for my Vanns experience. I paid for my speakers LATE Monday night and they were on my porch, in a samll town in western Colorado, at 930 A.M. on Thursday!! Not to mention they sold me these speakers at half of retail AND shipped for free. Im positive that I will do business with Vanns again.

I purchased the Klipsch sw-350 subwoofer to replace my original Onkyo sub and that sounded great, but felt like there was something still lacking....clarity. I bought the B3s to also replace my front main speakers and wow...what a huge difference. The bass output is great as well...clear and solid. They hit some of the low end 808s bass drums pretty well, too!!!! The clarity these speakers put out is amazing. Im hearing sounds I wasnt hearing from my Onkyos. As you increase the volume the sound becomes louder, of course, but doesnt become distorted. The highs are crisp, the mids are clear, and the bass is solid. The depth of sound, as my wife describes it, is enveloping.
I use these B3s for everyday entertainment...occasionally Ill let the sub kick in, but for everyday use these things rock. I also purchased the C-1 center channel. When all are fully engaged, tv shows, music videos, and movies really do come to life. Using Onkyo surrounds temporarily, until I purchase new ones.
Overall, Im very impressed with the sound and quality. At this price point, you cant go wrong...I would recommend these speakers to all, you will not be disappointed.

When I saw these speakers on sale, I immediately investigated reviews on the net to see what people were saying about them and I was very impressed by what I read.
When I was a lot younger, Klipsch made the best PA speakers for small venues, but my rock band friends couldnt afford them. Likewise, their home stereo horn-driven speakers were considered the ultimate amongst my friends but again, they were out of reach in price. So, when I saw these speakers at an affordable price, I had to try them out.
I wasnt sure if I would use them as part of my stereo setup or as part of a home theater system I was putting together, but I definitely want to try them out.
When I listened to them at low and moderate volume playing a variety of music - acoustic pop, jazz, jazz vocals, easy to hard rock and even classical music I was *very impressed* with their versatility, crispness, range and accuracy of reproduction. Ideally, I would like to try these in the home theater system I am putting together - but that is sometime later this year when I have all of the components.

Klipsch B3 are excellent speakers for a lot of reasons. The sound stage produced by these is much better than my earlier Klipshc SB1. These speakers reproduce sound from low to high end without distortion. Bass is something else on these, for music you would not need a sub-woopher, even with movies these will deliver except for the deepest of bass. Definitely there are better speakers for 3x, 4x the price of these. But these can stand before any others.
I have also tested Paradigms costing more than $1200 a pair. They do deliver much more balanced sound but thats 10x more costly than these. So, its a decision easy for me.

Please note these are a little larger than many bookshelf speakers. I had limited space for them, and I was fortunate they fit the available space perfectly. Previously, I had in-wall speakers brand name uncertain that were expensive but performance was lacking.
These speakers have a nice, crisp, clean midrange that allows me to more easily pick out the individual instruments in a classical piece and better hear the nuances of folkrock music. When used with my home theater system, I notice the vocal component stands out more cleanly than before with my in-wall speakers.
The speakers appear to be well constructed and the audio quality far exceeded my expectations at this price point. Im very pleased with this purchase.

I unboxed them and found them to be very well built and nice looking. More importantly, they sound like no other speakers in this class that Ive ever heard. The sound is very good the highs are clear and easy to distinguish, the mids are crisp, and the lows are good as well. I have these connected up to an Onkyo SR507, so the wattage matches up perfectly. I highly recommend these speakers! The combination of value and performance cannot be beaten!

Great speakers that deliver clear crisp sound for all types of music. These speakers have an amazing range despite their diminutive size. I have heard things with these speakers that I never noticed before with my old speakers. Pair them with a good subwoofer and prepare for a new listening experience. They seem to be sounding better as they break in. Couple the quality sound with the price and you cant beatem.

These speakers handle both with ease. Even at loud volume levels, these speakers are able to handle it and maintain a clear sound with no distortion. In the $150-$200 price range for the pair, you cant go wrong.

As with any Klipsch product the build quality is excellent and the sound is exceptional! The highs produced by these speakers are clear and precise while the lows are surpisingly good given the speakers small foot print. So far I am very happy with this purchase!!!

Ill put in a perspective from someone who has been into audio for 30 years, loves clarity at loud volumes, and has a large living space. My audio system has VERY efficient pro audio fronts and 2 250lb. subs, so these Klipshs were purchased for the balcony rear surrounds because I needed maximum sensitivity. Keep in mind Im filling a 44x24 great room under exposed balcony with loud, clear sound. All in all, theyre pretty good. Solid, heavy, tight. Connected directly to other living area main to test, these gave surprisingly low bass out rear bass reflex port. Compared them directly to Acoustech which I had heard was sued from Klipsh for copying them, and the Acoustechs were more sensitive more volume per watt. Very similar sound, except more bass from B3. Standing at 4 distance from B3s, with fronts attenuated 5dB very sensitive and 20 away, the B3s still cant keep up, but you can hear them enough. Theyre pretty good, but I chuckle at reading reviews about loudness, clarity, or powerful sound...it all comes down to what you compare to. Still, these would beat most store brands, and would be a great choice for many situations. Dorm rooms, bedrooms, rear surrounds in medium rooms. Wish they had brackets or holes for wall hanging.

The time around Black Friday got me motivated to update my home theatre system, including new 65 DLP, Blu-Ray player, and new AV Receiver Onkyo HT-RC160. My old receiver was pretty old JVC RX-1024v, and didnt have all the new DTS decoders.
Even after the upgrade, I was unsatisfied with my surround sound, so when OneCall & Amazon had their sale on these, I jumped at it, and I must say, have been very impressed thus far.
The clarity and Bass are the two things that really surprised me from this relatively small Bookshelf speaker. In the past, I would never listen to music in any kind of surround mode, but now I find myself enjoying it more and more every day. Im sure these would make fantastic main speaker as well if you are cramped for space.

I paired them with the matching center channel speaker a week later another crazy-good deal from Vanns and replaced all my analog connections with digitaloptical cables...in short, I want to go back and re-watch my entire movie collection. Bluray, DVD, doesnt matter. EVERYTHING sounds so much better through these things. Now, is an $1500 pair of floor-standing speakers going to sound better? Of course. But put them up against anything in their general price-range vicinity and youre going to be all-sorts of pleased.

I just purchased a pair of these speakers and am quite pleased. I am a bit of an audiophile on more of a ghetto-blaster budget, and must say that these speakers deliver! Klipschs horn-loaded tweeters never fail to satisfy, with a nice, broad sound-stage and clear, crisp highs. The woofers are nice, have good depth and punch while being very flexible to what you are using the speakers for. I have them set up as side surrounds in my 7.1 system that I use for movies and music, and they handle both with equal facility. The only negative that I have found, and this is not really that bad, as it is more a limitation of the woofers size, not quality, is the lack of true low-end oomph. You can hear the lows, but to feel them youll need a sub. All in all, a GREAT value!

I bought these speakers because we bought a much larger TV and we didnt have enough room for our old speakers. We replaced the older larger speakers with these. I was concerned because the room is 20X40 and the old speakers were 28X18X12 and had 15 inch woofers. The old speakers did a wonderful job as the front speakers in our surround sound system. I was worried that these small speakers might not work for us. We watch mostly Blu-ray movies and we like to turn the sound up and enjoy the theater experience. We have a couple of subwoofers that add bass to the system but I was curious as to how the bookshelf speakers would balance out with the rest of our system. I had purchased an older model Klipsch C-6 center channel speaker on Ebay and we were happy with brilliant sound produced by it. However, it is an acoustic suspension speaker and the B-3s are a rear ported design. I was so impressed by the sound radiating from the B-3s I bought a second set that now resides on shelving in our kitchen. I know if I had more space a Set of tower speakers would be the way to go but I am very satisfied with the B-3s. You can spend a lot more money and not get the sound you can get from these. I am not an engineer but I think it is the huge, brilliant sound you get from the horns that makes the difference.

Our first experience with Klipsch speakers was well over a decade ago, when we purchased some VERY large klipsch speakers for our stereo, and later our surround sound system. But, with all the tech improvements and the new smaller speaker sizes available on the market today, we decided to down-size, despite the fact our original klipsch still sound new.
These new little speakers are not too big, but not too small. The sound quality is amazing, and once we get pedestals for them, they will be an attractive asset to our surround sound system.
Klipsch was a good investment a decade ago, and it was a great investment today!

I started my home theater off with a full Klipsch Quintet III surround sound using a 420w powered Klipsch Subwoofer all on a yamaya receiver. I was immediately satisfied with the quality put forth by Klipsch. I cannot believe how much they surpass the Bose audio line while remaining a affordable price. I picked up these B3s on Christmas day as a gift for myself. Using them as my front left and right speakers I moved my satellites that came with the quintet III to the rear to revamp my 5.1 to a 7.1 audio system. Needless to say I am even more impressed at this point. Cant wait to pick up another Klipsch Powered Sub to put in the rear and have the complete 7.2 experience. Everything sounds so crystal clear through the B3s as with all other Klipsch audio. I am sold for life on this brand audio and love the standard warranty backing them not that I foresee ever needing to use it. Only thing to note is you cannot wall mount the B3s without doing a custom rig. Make your day and invest in real audio..... Klipsch audio baby!

Bought this for as xmas present to myself . I intended to put these with a Onkyo SR-667 similar to 606 by themselves and use them by themselves to provide stereo sound and to a TV that is in a large play room in my house and also for music listening in that same room. To do this I was also going to buy a new receiver to put in place of the Onkyo and move the Onkyo over into the large room. Well, haven't gotten around to getting the second receiver yet. So that these just would not just sit in the box I replaced the fronts on my main home theatre TV with these. These came as part of the Onkyo hts-6100 package. These have been pretty good so far and make me realize just how much better my home theatre speakers could be. Not that I was unhappy with the old ones, I just like the B3s in there place better. However I can say if I intended on keeping the B3s as the fronts of a 7.1 surround I would also upgrade the center and sub. So goes the endless home AV upgrade process. For the price I got these through Vanns on Amazon I would recommend again. Not saying I wouldnt shop around though. These arent the end all. Paid $150 after shipping for these. Definitely not worth the $350 they MSRP at, maybe worth the $180 I see them on amazon for. I would say an ideal price on these would be $100-120.

100 Satisfied with this product - great sound. Im very picky about sound and usually its hard to be impressed. I had the tower version of these - F2, so i knew what I was buying. I use these for surround speakers, and even though thats not what are they madden for, my room is huge, so they stand far enough from me and produce hi quality surround sound. Powered by Pioneer Elitte and helped by 250 real watts Cerwin-Vega active 18 sub. I mostly listen uncompressed music and Blu-ray movies only. Consider my self as audiophile. Keep in mind - the size of your room will be your factor, otherwise the speakers reproduce the sound in the best way for my ears, even compared to speakers 5 times more expensive. Vanns did a great job - they told i will get them no earlier than monday tuesday, but i actually got them before the weekend

I cant consider myself a true audiophile, but these are probably some of the best speakers that I have come across for the amount that I have paid. The bass is heavy, but not overbearing for bookshelves.
These two literally fill my large basement room with rich, detailed sound. I think that the assumption that this pair of bookshelves could be used in place of a pair of towers is not outlandish. A buddy of mine actually commented that it sounded like I have two towers as opposed to the bookshelves.
I would recommend these for a smaller living space if towers are not an option. High quality, clear sound. Absolutely love them when Im playing my PS3 or watching a Blu-Ray.

The Klipsch B-3 book shelf speakers sound great - theyre not the best Ive ever heard, but for being as inexpensive they are - they sound GREAT!
If you arent familiar with the Klipsch bright sound, I would of course suggest that you listen to them or other horn-loaded Klipsch before you make a purchase. If you have heard Klipsch speakers before anything from the synergy line or say some Promedia 2.1s then you will know whether or not you like the Klipsch sound. Being a previous Klipsch owner, I was well aware of their bright sounding nature and I enjoy it even if it is slightly fatiguing after long listening sessions.
The reason I like the B-3s so well is that they offer quite a bit of detail - things you were missing before are now made distinct. I purchased these as a temporary place holder for some F-3s, with the plan of moving the B-3s to rear surround duty... but now Im not so sure - they sound really great for all of my home theater use as well as playing music.
You will hear that Klipsch speakers are efficient, these are no exception, I have a modest receiveramplifier a Onkyo TS-RX607 and it is totally capable of driving these B-3s along with the rest of my 5.1 surround sound system to very high levels with minimal distortion. I drove these speakers well past where it is comfortable to listen, and they maintain a low level of distortion.
For the money I believe these are tough to beat - especially if you already own other Klipsch speakers to match them to. Even if you really are using the B-3s for stereo music, they do a wonderful job - and I do use them for listening to music in 2.1 stereo mode.
There is only one drawback, and that is the bass output. The B-3s have moderately sized woofers and do an ok job of producing mid bass. I originally was displeased with their complete lack of bass. What I found out was that my receiver was setting the crossover down to like 40 or 50 hz. While the B-3s can play at this range... they are not overly powerful to do so. If you set the crossover to somewhere in the 60s 70s or even 80s, the speakers dont waste valuable effort trying to play in a range they arent phenomenal at i didnt say bad. I found the bass output increased significantly, albeit in the mid range only, when the crossover was dialed up. Overall I felt this added to the music enjoyment. Of course I have an ample subwoofer to add its voice to the music, making a crossover at 80 even more ideal, regardless of 2.1 or 5.1 use.
I am quite picky when it comes to sound - I have done a significant amount of my music listening using a pricey headphone setup Sennheiser HD650 DAC amplifier so when I listen to familiar music in a speaker setup, I know what is missing and what is coming through this means just about every pair of speakers ive ever listened to are somewhat lacking. For what they are and the price range they are in, the B-3s perform and they perform well. Without going over $350-$400 for a pair - I dont think I can find a pair of speakers Id rather listen to. Theyre precise, theyre efficient, and theyre fun. Theyll play music well enough that you will literally think that the performer is in the room. I found the stereo imaging to be great - if asked to close my eyes and point to where the sound was coming from I would have pointed right in between the speakers and a few feet in front of me.
With well built albeit not beautiful - but decent looking cabinets they may not add to your home decor, but they certainly will not detract from it.
If youve heard Klipsch speakers before and are ok with the bright sound and find it acceptable that these arent bass monsters, they are a great buy and will offer quite a bit of aural bliss.

My 2 12 car detached garage has been converted to a home office-entertainment-workshop over the years. The sound system always was secondary in quality to the main house but has gradually improved and the new Klipsch B-3 speakers really have made a difference. Several years ago during a wedding reception we hosted for a dear friend a buddy commented to me that he hoped the stereo in the house was better than the garage. At the time it was but times have changed and the addition of the Klipsch B-3 speakers now let this system rival if not surpass the house system.
I use an Onkyo TX-8555 receiver with a Sony 300 disc cd player, DVD player, and VCRand the old Optimus 15 inch woofer 3-way speakers just did not deliver the clarity and presence I wanted. I did some comparison research and found the Klipsch B-3 to be an intriguing item. The price I found cemented the deal and they arrived promptly, well packaged and secure.
I hooked them up and played them solo. There was a huge improvement in clarity. It was like I had to learn all the music on the 300 disc player again because I heard so many new sounds from CDs I had listened to many times. They were better than the Bose 301s in the house except for the bass.
Every review in every source of the Klipsch B-3 cites the lack of low bass frequency and recommends the addition of a sub-woofer to compensate. Its only a 30 db difference 20hz vs 50 hz but makes a huge difference. Rather than purchasing a sub-woofer, I used the old Optimus speakers with the 15 inch woofer and love the Klipsch B-3s. I hear everything in the recordings the way it was meant to sound. I now spend much more time enjoyably listening to my extensive collection than ever before. I heartily recommend these speakers especially at these prices. You wont look back, but will wonder why you waited so long to make such a substantial upgrade at a modest cost.

The first thing that sets the Klipsch B3 apart from other bookshelf speakers is the rounded front and curved top, which distinguishes it from all the identical looking black boxes. I decided to use the included black grilles, which push onto built-in posts quite easily, so that the B3s would blend into my decor - but someone desiring a high-tech look could leave the grilles off, and the brushed stainless-steel woofer and matching horn tweeter would perfectly complement a chrome-glass-and-black-leather apartment.
No bookshelf speaker is going to give you the deep bass or rich sound of a tower speaker, but the Klipsch B3 comes mighty close. I played my CD of Bachs Toccata and Fugue in D minor, recorded on a 300-pipe cathedral organ, at high volume through my pair of B3s, and the bass notes rattled the windows convincingly! The horn tweeters lend an open and natural sound to the upper midrange and treble notes, with less beaming than many bookshelf speakers with tiny dome tweeters.
In summary, the Klipsch B3 is an attractive, great-sounding bookshelf speaker for the audiophile on a budget.

I have an Onkyo TX-SR806 powering these two B3 speakers with the Klipsch C1 center and S1 surrounds.
When I received the speakers they were in the original box in a larger Vanns box with the S1s I ordered at the same time. The box was rather large but it was very well packaged. I was very impressed that they didnt ship them in the regular packaging.
These speakers are just gorgeous. They have quite a bit of weight to them. They are the heaviest bookshelf speakers I have owned. The build quality is incredible, no detail was ignored, even the port on the back. I couldnt decide if I wanted to go with the grills on or off, because they look pretty aggressive with the grills off. I decided to go with the grills because they just look classy and refined.
I hooked the speakers up and ran the Audyssey and they sound absolutely fantastic. They have decent base, but I am relying on my subwoofer to pick that up. They play extremely clear without any detectable distortion even when cranked. I am using them for HT BDs and TV so the horns are perfect for me. They are even crystal clear at low volumes. I have heard more details than ever before - I had Terminator Salvation from netflix and you can hear every computer sound and bullet whizzing bye.
I had wanted floor standing speakers - the F1 or F2, but I couldnt pull the trigger on the price. For the money if you pair them with a good sub I dont think you can find a better setup.

. Bass is present, and is plenty, but adding a subwoofer makes a good difference PSW 505 Polk, 12 SUB.
. Relatively small, with nice black finish. Rugged look with grill off.
. Excellent value for the money.
. Great shipping service.
. 5 years warranty
. Can be easily used for front HT system, or surround, presence speakers.
. Price is very tempting.
. Not Bi-Ampable, however I doubt it would have made any significant difference, as the speakers sound great classical, trans, dance, techno, piano, opera,..
.Excellent service by Vanns.

These are my second pair of Klipsch synergy speakers. My ex-fiancé kept my SB-2. I have the B3s in a relatively small room powered by a mid-level Yamaha receiver with no sub. The sound they create truly is amazing. In part because I have the positioned so close to a wall, the bass extension really isnt there. My past experience however with the SB-2s is that they rollover to a sub quiet nicely to produce a full frequency range. I find the highs on the B3s to be much more pleasing then the SB-2. They seem to be softer, yet with all the of the detail remaining in tact. Everything from mid-bass to the highs are reproduced with such power and detail it nearly creates a visual element to the sound. Some speakers may be pleasant, these speakers are an experience. I found the discontinued cherry color looks very high-end and stunning. It nicely contrasts with the speaker baffles. Its really a tough deal to beat at these prices. The reference series Im sure sounds even better, but I find nothing lacking in the B3s except for full sub-level bass. Its time to revisit all of my old favorite albums again.
