I bought the bookshelf speakers wanting to use them as the front speakers on my theater sound system & was completely surprised how nice they made the system sound as a whole, I have a subwoofer but the bass on these speakers compliment it very well, Im am really pleased with the VB15 Icons.

At the sale price of the Klipsch VB15 Icon their are many bookshelf options to consider such as Polk, Energy, Sony, Pioneer, Dayton, some Definitives, KEF, B&W, Paradigm, and others. What sets the Klipsch VB15 apart from the rest is its efficiency and its ability to sound GREAT with ANY receiver amplification you already have in your home. In short It has CRISP highs and LOW lows bass and yes the MIDS thump in your chest at every turn. The horn tweeters have been exponentially refined from their earlier models and can no longer be distinguished from metal done tweeters offered by many of its competitors yet it holds its ability to get loud without distortion unlike others.
The few reasons you would not get the Klipsch VB15 is that you already have a brand in mind or you enjoy your music with certain characteristics such as being flat, veiled, and laid back.
If you frequent music halls, live music sessions, clubs, and studios, the Klipsch VB15 will take you there at the comfort of your couch.

For a compact space, like a den or home office, these speakers are a very good value. They wont go low low w their Bass response, but what I did get out of these speakers surprised me - the Bass was still excellent even with a somewhat limited range. I am using for a traditional audio set-up - Adcom amp, NAD pre-amp and these speakers appear to be well matched.

Ordered these on a whim for an office 2-channel audio system.
Program sources are internet radio, an HD tuner, and cd carousel changer.
Listening to classics, some jazz, 60s and 70s era soul.
Speakers driven by an H-K 3490 receiver.
The Klipsch Icons have a nice crisp but not harsh top end and decent bottom for such a small bookshelf system. No shriekiness or boominess.
In between the top and bottom, nice balance and sound.
A steal for the price.

I was looking for a smaller type speaker for my side and rear surround set up and I knew I had to go Klipsch and the VB-15s were the ticket.
Great choice. Highs are clean and strong, lows tone are good, but it is a small speaker, so with the powered sub, all is good.
Highly recommend the VB-15s. Great sound from a small speaker..

I purchased these speakers to replace a pair of VF-36s because of a lack of space. All in all Im happy with their performance. I was able run these below 80hz without any problems. I originally planned on replacing them with a pair of book shelfs in a higher seires from Klipsch that would match the performance of the VF-36s. However, after speaking with Klipsch they advised me to stay within the Icon seires and just get a subwoofer to make up the difference. So, I am planning on purchasing a better subwoofer to make up some of the lower end that these cant handle but that was expected. I am actually running these for my fronts and surrounds now and I couldnt be happier. They play clean and precise sound with no hesitation right out of the box, like most speakers I cant wait to see what they can do once they are broke in.

I purchased these a few weeks ago for use as rear surrounds. I wanted something bigger than a small satellite speaker, something that could reach both ends of the sound spectrum. These are not subs by any means, but certainly have more bass than a satellite speaker. I had heard that Klipsch has a tendency to be on the harsh side and not so warm sounding. This made me a little leery about them, but I decided to take a chance. I have Boston Acoustics CS26 bookshelf speakers and a CS225CB Center channel. I love how they sound very balanced and warm. The Klipsch did not sound harsh to me. The tweeter had an almost imperceptible difference from the BAs but, at the same time it is not a bad difference like I said you dont hear it unless you focus on looking for it. Some said that the Klipsch harshness becomes exhausting to listen to, but I do not find them hard to listen to I enjoy my system more now since it is complete. One thing I wish they did that my BAs do is have the bottom grill be removeable. You can only remove the grill covering the tweeter on the Klipsch speakers. It is not a big deal but a detail I thought was overlooked.
I use these for music, movies, and games. I enjoy just about everything in all of the categories from pop to jazz, and action to suspense, and finally shooters and mystery games.
Their size is what I expected for a bookshelf speaker. I was not expecting something the size of a baseball, but also not expecting something the size of a refrigerator. The size seems fine to me. No complaints.
I chose these speakers because while on the hunt for rear surrounds I saw on dealnews.com these were on special from Vanns for a $99 for a pair. So I made the decision that these were the ones. The price was right and I figured If I did not like them, then they could alwasys be returned. But I will be keeping them they are great for what i want. When I have so much money I cant spend it all then perhaps will buy something more extravagant, but until then these will do just fine.

Purchased the VB15s to replace a pair of Klipsch KSB 1.1. I have been very happy with the Synergy series speakers so I didnt expect much of a difference, wow, was I wrong! The Icons are simply amazing in a small space when coupled with a small sub, the sound is rich, expansive and highly detailed, just as I like it. They are substantial enclosures with generous porting on the rear so actual bookshelf users will need to pay attention to the depth and allow for additional room at the rear for the porting. The fit and finish is very nice and the quality is on par with other Klipsch speakers Ive owned.

Having moved from a pair of Polk TSIs to these I was very pleased. Excellent Freq. response and I love that pop of the Klipsch tweeter. Using just the pair for now powered by a cheap Sherwood stereo receiver. Got these at Bestbuy a while ago, but Vanns price is much better.
