Compact size, room-filling audio
You've dedicated a fair space of time to designing and fine tuning your living room's aesthetic. Now you're looking to beef up your home theater's audio system, seeking to introduce full, five-channel audio without impinging upon the room's style and comfort. Combining five tweeter-woofer pairs with patented Omnipolar® technology, the four Nanosat Prestige bookshelf speakers and single Nano CC center channel speaker that make up the five-channel Nanosat Prestige 5 home audio system deliver just that: an enveloping, 360° soundstage from five compact speakers. Fill your listening area with sound, not speakers.
Omnipolar technology offers lifelike sound
The advanced sound-reproduction technology featured on all five speakers in Mirage's Nanosat Prestige 5 home audio system can be summed up in one word — Omnipolar. Research shows that in live musical environments, about 30% of what a person hears is direct sound, while the remaining 70% consists of reflected sound. The brain uses direct sound for identification and localization, and uses reflected sound to determine musicality and spaciousness. Unfortunately, the front-firing driver design used in most loudspeakers produces the opposite ratio: 70% direct sound to 30% reflected sound. Omnipolar technology, on the other hand, restores the balance. The Nanosat Prestige 5's patented Omniguide module employs two deflectors to create a 360° soundscape. While the first deflector is placed above the tweeter, the second deflector houses the tweeter and is placed above the midrange driver. This specific arrangement of drivers and reflectors makes it possible for any Mirage speaker featuring Omnipolar technology to permeate your listening area with enveloping, high-fidelity sound.
Essential, yet overlooked — the center channel
Playing the role of the center channel speaker in the five-channel Nanosat Prestige 5 home audio system is Mirage's Nano CC. Despite playing a crucial role in your home audio system's ability to deliver a complete audio experience, the center-channel speaker is often the most overlooked and under-appreciated speaker in any lineup. Do you like to hear, with perfect clarity, every whisper and sigh your favorite actor or actress utters? Would you rather strain to hear that on-screen explosion, or feel like you should duck for cover? An audio system relies upon its center channel speaker to deliver clear dialogue, dazzling special effects, and nuanced vocals. With this as its primary objective, the Nano CC combines one 0.75" tweeter and a single 3" midrange driver with Omnipolar technology for a center channel experience accessible to anyone in the room. The included tabletop and wall-mount bracket gives you two versatile placement options and magnetic shielding of the Nano CC's drivers makes it safe to place this center channel speaker near other A/V components without the risk of interference or damage.
Four satellites = surround sound
While the Nanosat Prestige 5's Nano CC is delivering all the dialogue, vocals, and center channel effects, the four Nanosat Prestige bookshelf speakers are teaming up to complete the surround sound experience. Take each speaker's synthesis of a 0.75" tweeter, 2.75" midrange driver, and Omnipolar technology, and you have a full, dynamic 360° soundstage, times four. Just like the rest of the Nanosat Prestige 5 system, these bookshelf speakers feature a compact design that doesn't dominate your living room. The included wall/ceiling-mount bracket and magnetic shielding bring you versatile placement options.
A quick note: A Stock status
While B Stock products are those that Vann's has received from a third party, often at low liquidation prices, and may have minor damage to their packaging, A Stock products like this Mirage speaker product are brand new, in-the-box speakers that have been received directly from the manufacturer and carry a full manufacturer warranty.
Included with purchase
The following items are included with the purchase of the Mirage Nanosat Prestige 5: wall-mounting brackets for satellite speakers, and a tabletop mount and wall-mount for center channel speaker.

So I decided to get the prestige for my restaurant after owning the previous nanosat model and let me say these sound much better. I guess its because they are supposed to be more energy effecient, but man they are very loud for their size. I decided to keep these and the other nanos for the restaurant. You can get way better speakers, but for the money and size, they are crystal clearnot blarring volume and loud. Having a center channel is so nice, YES!! If you want the low end frequencies, you need to get a subwoofer though. I got a martin logan dynamo 700 wireless. I would not recommend to blast these cause they cant handle it, just keep it loud NOT BLARRING LLLOOOUUUDDD!!!! The high gloss black is a magnet for finger prints, so once you touch em, you will leave finger prints all over the. They will fill a room with sound very nicely, especially if you watch tv or listen to music in 5 channel mode. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IF YOU GET THESE.

So these speakers sound amazing and come with basic wall brackets... I also like that you can purchase anyones sub to go with them. The only issue I had with the whole package is they did not spend the extra $2.00s to include the drywall screws to wall mount the speakers. Great option for surround sound under the $500 mark. Sound is not perfect but you would need to spend $1,000 or more to get into really quality sounds.

I was on the fence about this purchase for a while. When I saw the price point I decided to take the leap. I am so happy that I did. The speakers arrived very fast and great condition from Vanns. I unpacked them and right away was surprised by the weight and build quality of these speakers. They are not your typical Theater in a box cheapies. The finish, build quality and overall appearance bring a beautiful sleek elegance to any room. Next I placed them into my predetermined sweet spots. I then used my receivers set up to set the the speaker type and crossover to 120 as the manufacturer suggest. Then the fun began.... These speakers sound nothing short of amazing! The surrounds sizzle and snap bringing to life any format. My dog sometimes looks out the front window in confusion thinking the sound came from outside the room. The front channels are crystal clear and give a dialog a very full yet warm sound that envelopes you in the action. Weather you like sports , music or action, these little speakers will ensure you catch every word, and really help to create a great environment for watching movies. I plan on ordering Two more of these for my front effects channels. Great little speakers!

I must be honest I was not expecting great sound from such a small speaker system, but I was wrong. These speakers are great. Sound quality rivals those of high priced systems.Build and aesthetics are top quality. Having owned these speakers for a while I must say that they do fill the room pretty well. I had these in a 15x25 room but they werent loud like one would expect. If you have a big room you might want to look at bigger systems. I have now upgraded to Def Techs BP8040ST. They are awesome! One thing that people should before buying this set is that if it one of the speakers is placed behind something the sound will sound muffled and not clear. In addition, a mid to high end subwoofer is necessary to achieve great overall performance especially with music. This is a good entry level system. You cannot go wrong with this purchase. You will be pleased. It is stylish compact design with great sound.

After three weeks of use i can say Im extremely satisfied with this little Nanosat system paired with a Definitive Technology Super Cube 2000 Sub and Denon receiver. Wow! Dialog is extremely clear and full. Overall sound dispersion is immense, filling an open 25x15 room, 17 ceiling, with sound. The separation is fantastic and the balance of the system seems to be perfectly matched to the room. Music performance is solid in both stereo and multi channel stereo but its the movies and sports that really shine. The Super Bowl sound effects were fantastic along with the half-time show! Watching Hockey produces all the sounds of the skates on the ice and Ive never heard each and every touch of the puck off the stick like I do now. Listening to the live music performances of the Grammys sealed the deal. This little system is as good as it gets for the size. Note I used the set up instructions from Mirage and found them to be perfect. The auto set up feature of my Denon receiver that supposedly takes room acoustics into account did not work well at all and screwed up the crossover, sub settings and individual speaker volume terribly. I was previously warned against using this auto set up process by Definitive. I erased it and went to the manual set up recommend by Mirage, perfect! Background I initially replaced a Bose 3-2-1 system with with a Definitive Technology SSA-42 Sound Bar, thinking I could get away without a full surround system while pleasing the wife. I was not satisfied and the wife hated the size and look of the sound bar. they really are a large brick that destroy the look of your sleek flat panel TV Thus, I decided to go with the real deal. After taking the time to run the rear wires through the floor and LR under baseboards I found the look to be far better as well. While the Def. Tec. Sound Bar was very good, it does not even come close to the Mirage full surround system. Do not make the same mistake. The Nanosat system was far less expensive as well and Vanns has the best price available for this system. Hence, a best seller for them. The center channel also produces as clear, if not better, dialog than the Definitive and the over all performance of the 5.1 system is far superior. Superior performance for the size along with great looks!!! Whats not to like?

Since they are omnipolar, I have placed the front and center channel speakers behind my tv for the aesthetics and to keep my wife happy! and they still sound pretty good. The center channel speaker is a good upgrade over the surrounds and this set imo is worth it over the nanosat 5.1 set, outside of needing to buy a separate subwoofer.

I recently purchased the Prestige speakers matched with the Prestige S8 subwoofer and a Denon 2311ci receiver. And I must say that I am pleased with the the sound quality that these satellites produce and how clear the sound is. I recently just watched Tron Legacy on a bluray disc and the sound of that movie was a good test of the speakers and subwoofer. I cant wait them to actually break-in a bit more to get the full potential out of the speakers and subwoofer. The Receiver does a good job of setting up the speakers and very minor tuning was needed. The Prestige speakers manual said to use the cross over setting at 120hz on the reciever for all satellites and the sub is set as well. So far they blend very well together. The speakers themselves have a 5way binding post which is very nice to either connect with banana plugs or spades or just use bare wire. I ended up using bare wire on my center channel speaker cause I couldnt seem to get the banana plugs to set in properly. I used angled Monster pins that I had for all the speakers except for the center was bare wire only cause of the angle of the 5 way posts it was tricky for anything else that I had on hand. The speakers and subwoofer have a nice gloss finish to them. They do like fingerprints so make sure to have a cloth handy after placing them. I will leave another review after a month of really fine tuning the system. I go to the movies alot and own over 600 dvds and I wanted a system for the home that wouldnt take up too much room cause it is a 18 x 18 room and I feel these speakers are adequate for the room. Eventually I would like to purchase 2 more of these satellites just to have the 7.1 true surround sound.

Installation Included brackets are easy to install using drywall anchors, or a screw into a stud. Very low profile, look and feel good. Ran my wires inside drywall for a very clean look. These speakers are used with a Denon AVR-2801 receiver and a Paradigm 10 powered subwoofer.
Music These speakers are replacing a pair of Dynaudio towers can mount these up and out of reach of the kids. Mounted these on wall, followed exact recommendations in the manual for spacing and height relative to the listening position. Overall, I am perfectly satisfied with the sound, but I noticed that stereo imaging was not as precise. That being said, the dispersion pattern of the Mirage resulted in a balanced sound anywhere in the room. Bottom line, they sound good, and excel for providing background music - but they are capable of providing a clear and powerful sound when desired.
Movies This is where these speakers really shine. Clear dialog from the center and the wide dispersion patterns creates a huge sound field. I can turn up the volume as loud as I want and have not experience any distortion or poor sound that would make me want to turn it back down.
Bottom line Id recommend these speakers to anyone shopping for a home theater surround system. Great sound, sleek look, up out of the reach of toddlers - just what I was looking for.

Ive been planning on purchasing Mirage speakers for several years and have been waiting for the stereo in the Man Room to die so I could upgrade and swap. That day came and I was happy to get the new speakers. They were easy to set up and sound fantastic. My entertainment room is odd-shaped so I cannot install a theater system in the usual rectangular fashion, so the Mirage speakers were the perfect choice for this room. The speakers are connected to a Yamaha AV system which allows easy surround speaker balancing. I am getting great balance and a very clear sound. I am using a Mirage subwoofer to suppliment the low-end loss that is typical of satellite speaker systems. Ive seen some complaints in others reviews about excess high-end frequencies and I simply disagree and believe that these are well-balanced speakers. Summary - easy to connect, attractive, easy to hide, can handle the volume wo breaking up, good sound balance esp. w subwoofer, and well worth the cost...which really isnt too bad if you know how to shop.

These are beautiful, beautiful sounding, small speakers. I wanted surround sound, but something that looked acceptable. I almost installed in-ceiling speakers but these are a much more reasonable solution.
You absolutely have to have a subwoofer or else they will sound terrible. Once paired with a subwoofer I used an old powered one from a previous Okyno receiver set they sound fantastic. I couldnt be happier about the sound now.
I really wish the set came with 4 white speakers and a black center speaker so the surround speakers would blend in with the walls near the ceiling. However, the set only comes in all black. Buying them individually would cost twice as much, which I couldnt justify just for white speakers.
I had thin speaker wire from my old Okyno speaker that I used to connect the center channel speaker since I didnt route the wire through the wall it sits on top of my entertainment center, just below my TV on the wall. The thin wire slips out of the push terminals of the center channel speaker. I could fold over the wire to make them stay, but will eventually just replace it with something more substantial.

Needed something to replace a mis-matched home theater setup consisting of custom Dynaudio front main speakers and Paradigm center, subwoofer, and surrounds. The kids were reaching up and poking in the dust caps of my Dynaudio drivers so it was time to put those away and get something we could get up on the walls out of the kids reach. Since these speakers would probably be pretty useless without a subwoofer, I kept my Paradigm 12 subwoofer in the setup.
First impressions, speakers had a very open sound to them without much for imaging when listening to music. I wall-mounted the speakers according to the manual so the listening position is 1.5 times the distance between the front speakers. Nice sound, but not quite as precise as the Dynaudios. Convinced myself that I hardly ever have the time to sit down and critically listen to music anymore and moved on. Watched a few movies and was very pleased with the home theater experience. Sound was full and clear all over the room, even down on the lower level of our split-level home. Seems like their omni-polar design really improves the sound when youre not lucky enough to sit in the sweet spot.
Had a great experience buying from Vanns. Fast shipping, and product was well packaged.

I had bought this set of speakers 3 years ago. I have a 7.1 configuration with Black and Rosewood combination of Nano Prestige speakers along with Mirage Omni S10 subwoofer. Of course, I paid more money than Vanns this new deal for $499.
I did refer lot of reviews and listened to demos with both music and movie CDDVDs before making the decision. I had Bose Acoustimass 6 III system before. So, it was not only an upgrade in terms of price but also in terms of quality. The sound, quality of build material and look of these Prestige speakers are far superior than Bose and anything in this price range.
I listen to music a lot and watch lot of Blu-ray movies using this system. I wish the center channel could use a little volume but I managed it by tweaking the receiver settings. I have all the rear and surround speakers hanging upside down on hercules hooks.
This system is so awesome for both music and movies. When I have my friends kids in the home watching movie, they suddenly look at the wall where I hang the speakers anytime bulletsaircrafts fly on the screen. Music is crisp and I can set my Omni S10 to provide right amount of thump for music and movies. I keep playing music most of the time Im home. Im so happy that my research paid off. My friends also got some demo from me, they ended up buying 2 more set for themselves.
Now that price is perfect, no tax compared to what I paid for, just buy them all if you have a small to mid-size room and enjoy either music or movie or both.
A couple of notes for potential buyers
1. Allow about 200hrs break-in time after you set them up. Play a CD in loop mode in about 20-40 of the total volume.
2. Nano Prestige has got tweeter and mid-range driver in it. So, it is obvious that you need a subwoofer to cover the full range. I think it doesnt have to be explicitly mentioned.
Buy these and you wont be disappointed.

After looking at Best Buy, I found this system from Mirage. It was $400 cheaper at Vanns than what Best Buy was asking for it. I have always been a fan of larger speakers, so this system was a complete change. I wanted something that could be mounted in my living room and free up floor space, but not sacrifice sound quality. Bought the Bose Acoustimass 10 first, but its true what they say no highs no lows, must be Bose. It sucked, especially since everything comes through the sub. This system is powered directly from the tuner, and made hook up much easier. Way better sound then the bose system. I have it paired up with a Velodyne SPL sub, and it is amazing sound. the cubes truly bounce sound everywhere. I have them mounted at 9ft above the floor, make sure to reverse the speaker at that height and mount it the other way. It makes a huge difference. Over all for $500 it is way better than the $1200 Bose system, but if you want to pair it with a comparable sub them youll be right about $1200 anyway. Bottom line, for the same price the Mirage system blew away the bose, especially if you have a really good tuner with all the DSP settings

I had first seen these speakers in India. Just by looking at these speakers I fell in love with them. I wanted to buy them then, but they were way too expensive there. Recently after visiting US I just googled around for these speakers and bought them online. Since I had no way of testing these speakers, I connected them to my friends receiver and was dazzeled by the crystal clear sound. Even at high volume there was no distortion in the sound. I carefully wrapped these cuties in bubble wrap so they wouldnt suffer a scratch and stuffed them into my suitcase. Surprisingly they only occupied a small space in my suitcase and I still have a decent space left to fit in other items. I am eager to take these glossy black pieces back to India and show them off to my neighbors. I am sure these will be a star attraction because none of them have speakers such as these. Lastly, whats even more interesting about these pieces is the fact that you hang them upside down with the Mirage signature going upside down along with the speaker.

Great product for the price- however, I would never pay 1K for these- thanks Vanns! Extra large soundstage, very nice looking and really well built. Be sure to pick up a subwoofer to pick up where these drop off. What they do cover though sounds amazing, and I am very satisfied with Mirage. Definitely would recommend to a friend.

Purchased these on close-out and couldnt be happier with the price or the performance. Came with the S8 subwoofer as a package deal.
Spacious, open sound field for movies and does a good job with a stereo source as well. With the S8 sub, plenty of bass for a smallmedium sized room.
Speakers are high-quality, the magnetic grill and high-gloss finish are durable and look great! While not as small as some other Mirage offerings, Im very pleased with the sound for the systems size.
Great purchase! If you can find them for sale still, I highly recommend them for a moderately priced AV setup.

This system is the BEST! Wow...such range and great clarity. My speakers are connected to Yamaha RX-V565 Receiver. I didnt know what I was missing. The free Mirage Subwoofer from Vanns is icing on the cake. It produces PLENTY of boomin base for those explosive action films and the 1812 Overture as well. Do not hesitate to get this set...why spend huge $$ for that other brand. Also, why pay tax, when with free shipping you can have it in about 5 days? My room is 14 x 20 and this 5.1 configuration is just right. I saved about $300 versus buying at that BB big box store. Thanks, Vanns !!

I recently upgraded my home theater from an old Sony Home Theater in-a-box system. The Mirage Nanosat Prestige speakers provide a vast improvement in sound while only being slightly larger than the satellites they replaced. Partnered with a new quality AV receiver and a sturdy 150W subwoofer, the sound stage is large and the center channel is clearer than ever. The sound comfortably fills my 16x25 room. I have the speakers inverted firing downward as they are mounted high on the wall right at the ceiling. I was a little worried the omnipolar design would cause a significant loss of directionality to a surround mix, but I have been pleasantly surprised.
Only knock in ease of use is that the mounts are a little nonstandard if you are trying to do something slightly different.

I bought these speakers for an unbeatable price after Christmas for a new Sony Receiver that I had received as a gift. They sound great. I have them set up with a Mirage Omni S8 powered subwoofer. The whole system just sings with movies and music. I upgraded from a Sony theatre in a box and the difference is amazing. These speakers are small but capable of room filling sound. They seem to have a much larger sweet spot for surround sound movie viewing as well. The size helped them pass the wife test and with the sub there is plenty of low end punch. There are clear highs and mids and finally no muddy or muffled center audio while watching movies. Vanns shipped them fast and they got here in great shape. I cant recommend this product enough. I am by no means an audiophile but these things are impressive.

The bass from the system isnt that great, but that is to be expected from such small speakers so ensure a subwoofer is also on the list of items. I hooked it up with a Mirage S8 Subwoofer that I am also very happy with.
The service from VANNS was great, with a good price and fast shipping.

I am not an audiophile. These are my first home theater speakers. I have done a lot of reseach before deciding to buy the Mirage Speakers. I have heard many different speakers including Bose, Definitive etc. I heard the Mirage speakers at Best Buy. I compared them with other speakers at Best Buys Magnolia. The difference was quite obvious. Others were loudnoise. Mirage was clarity. The lyrics of the album sounded more clear in Mirage without the instruments overpowering the lyrics. Clarity was more important to me than loudness. That does not mean Mirage was aneamic. Overall I am more than happy with my decision to go for Mirage.

I love my new Nanosat Prestige speakers! I had the Nanosat 5.1 speaker package, but it was missing a unique center channel speaker. The regular Nanosats are a great set, and considering they come with a sub in the 5.1 package, it is also worth considering. But I really missed the clear dialogue a center channel produces. The satellites are essentially identical in sound reproduction to the regular Nanosats at most volumes, although I believe the Prestiges are designed to handle a little more power. The Prestige 5.0 set comes with the Nano-CC, which is the best matched center channel speaker for the regular Nanosats. All I really needed was the center channel, but Vanns was selling the set at such a great deal I just got the package. I combined these with the sub that came with the Nanosat 5.1, and now I have enough speakers for a full 7.1 system. It really sounds great! The Omnipolar technology lets the sound fill the room without an overly clear point of origin that most forward firing speakers produce. Surround sound still moves around the room, but over a broader sound-scape.
The only con to this package is it does not regularly come with a sub. You would definitely miss it if you dont have one. The speakers do a great job for their size, but you just cant get the full range of sound from such small speakers. Aside from their great sound, their size and style let them blend into the room beautifully. If you are looking for an immersive surround sound experience, but are constrained by price and space, these are the way to go!

I am not going to go into annoying detail like some even though it did help me in my process of picking this set. I will save you from taking the time to do that. If you are looking for a small surround that kicks better than some larger counter parts, looks incredible, and fills the room with such amazing sound this is it. You will not believe what you are hearing from these tiny speakers. The best thing to me is the fact that these are not giant eye sores hanging 3 feet off my ceiling.
