Audio with Dynamic Balance®

A variety of factors play into the audio performance you get from your loudspeakers, including cabinet design, speaker location, room acoustics, and speaker-cable quality. At the heart of the matter, however, is a speaker's drivers. The OWM3 uses a two-driver combo — one tweeter and one midrange driver — for accurate, low-distortion delivery of all your favorite songs and soundtracks. First, the OWM3's 4.5" midrange driver features Dynamic Balance®. This technology uses laser imaging to create the right combinations of materials, driver geometry, and construction techniques to produce flat frequency response, sharp detail, transparency, and dynamic wide-range audio reproduction. Second, the OWM3's two 1.0" tweeter features a silk dome construction to deliver clear, detailed high-frequency audio.

Enhanced bass and midrange performance

With the OWM3, Polk pays more attention to mid- and low-frequency audio reproduction than just driver construction. First, Capacitive Coupling Bass Technology helps deliver surprising, impacting low-frequency response from a compact cabinet enclosure. Speaking of the cabinet, super-dense glass-filled ABS material makes the cabinet acoustically inert, meaning that resonance from the cabinet won't interfere with midrange frequencies, ensuring extremely clean and low-coloration midrange response.

The gold-plated five-way binding posts featured on the Polk OWM3 are designed with wide holes for large-gauge bare-wire connections. This binding-post construction offers the most secure audio-cable connection, and is the most versatile wiring application available.

These are great speakers, especially for the price. I installed them easily on the walls using some picture hanging hooks, connected to my Onkyo receiver, and enjoyed some music. Movies sounded pretty good as well, and I could hear dialogue with no problems. I am going to purchase a subwoofer soon to complete the 2.1 package for my bedroom . The sound is so good, I dont really need to buy surround speakers for my 12 x 14 room.

The Polk speakers perform well. Very reasonably priced and they look good on the walls. I have them mounted up near the ceiling on off white walls, and they almost disappear from view, since they are also white. Easy to mount with several ways to position them so they are aimed where you want them.
