Entices You To Listen
The Infinity TSS1100, six-piece, 5.1-channel speaker package will entice you into enjoying your favorite multichannel music and movies over and over again with realistic surround sound, deep, powerful bass, and crisp-sounding dialogue. The four SAT1100, 2-way satellite speakers (two front and two surround) each boast dual 3.5" midranges and a 0.75" tweeter while the voiced-matched center channel speaker features dual 3.5" midranges and a 0.75" tweeter for high-impact on-screen effects. TSS tweeters employ an acoustical waveguide to deliver a wider, more even high-frequency response. The bass is handled by a 12", 250-watt powered subwoofer, and every driver in the package incorporates Infinity's exclusive MMD transducer material technology. The satellites and center channel speakers are housed in high-style, brushed, extruded aluminum acoustic suspension enclosures inspired by Infinity's premium Prelude Series. This all-metal enclosure provides an extremely rigid structure, virtually eliminating cabinet resonances. Place the satellites on shelves or mount them on the wall with the included brackets. The center channel speaker comes with a curved pedestal that allows positioning at the proper angle, either on top of the television or below it. Magnetic shielding on the satellites and center channel speakers lets you place them close to the television without interference. All six speakers work in unison to create a seamless surround sound experience with movies and multichannel music, even the demanding high-resolution sources like SACD and DVD-Audio.
MMD Technology--Infinity Exclusive
Infinity's Metal Matrix Diaphragm (MMD) technology permits you to hear recordings--perhaps for the first time--exactly the way the artist or director intended. What can prevent this from happening are resonances, unwanted colorations, or distortions, of the sound reproduced by a speaker; and every transducer has its own unavoidable set of reasonances based on its physical characteristics. The trick is to build a transducer where the natural resonances are either above or below its audible range. To get this done, Infinity engineers developed Metal Matrix Diaphragm (MMD) transducer material, a sandwich made up of layers of ceramic alumina (5% of the total thickness top and bottom) anodized to a metallic aluminum core (the remaining 90% of total thickness). Among the stiffest materials known, alumina and aluminum were chosen because sound moves through them faster than through conventional transducer materials and the MMD sandwich responds to electrical signals very rapidly without coloring the sound at all. MMD technology is derivative of a similar patented sandwich material used on Infinity's premium speakers. At Infinity, elimination of resonances is paramount, whether at the top of the line or at the entry level. When other manufacturers claim that their transducers are ceramically coated, it's merely a cosmetic surface treatment. The TSS1100 incorporates MMD transducer material because Infinity knows the listener will be able to hear the difference.
Performance and Quality Tested
Before ever putting a speaker into production, Infinity engineers analyze a number of critical parameters, including: frequency response, spatial averages, phase response, and nonlinear distortion. Also analyzed are: sound quality (timbre and bandwidth), spatial quality (how well the speakers spread out the sound), stereo imaging, the multichannel soundstage (how strong the sound image is in front, behind, and to the sides), and dynamic capabilities (sound quality for very loud and very quiet inputs). The TSS1100 speaker package you bring into your home has been subjected to some of the most rigorous testing and analysis in the industry, all to assure you superb performance and superior quality.
You're the Judge
In the final analysis only you, the listener, can judge the performance of any speaker. Infinity does all it can to make certain that your verdict will be a good one. They employ listeners with naturally acute hearing and then train them to express what they hear in ways that help engineers identify what's right and wrong about the speaker. Only after the TSS1100 was rated best-in-class against other manufacturer's comparable products, was it ready for production. Infinity's dedication to creating good sound in any room, anywhere in the room, is a benchmark in the loudspeaker industry. Invisible, uncolored, unchanged, natural sound, exactly as the musician or director meant for you to hear it--that's Infinity.

Greetings all! I received my Infinity speakers in just few days thanks to Vanns attention to detail and rapid processing. GOOD JOB FOLKS and THANKS!!!
Hooked these up to a older Pionerr VSX-D608 and was very disappointed at first. But I knew I didnt have the remote and no way to set speaker size to small. But a 250 mile trip to my storage unit proved right on target and after setting values with the remote....these speakers crank. Nice and clear, great bass and just fun to listen to. Might be a little over kill I guess as I live full time in a 37 ft fifth wheel but hey more is better. Add in a 26 HDTV and my mini theater is coming along nicely. Used the PS3 as my input and purchased Ice Age 2 on Blue-Ray last night. As impressive as the sound is from these speakers...Blue Ray is awesome. Sure HD DVD is too, just purchased the PS3 as a lower approach to blue ray. Maybe Ill modify my review later on but for now I just really enjoy thes speakers. Might migrate to a Onkyo receiver later on but for now this will do. Thanks and enjoy these if you buy, which I highly recommend. Great system...great service.

I ALREADY OWNED A PAIR OF HOME INFINITY SPEAKERS WHICH I PURCHASED YEARS AGO, BECAUSE I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THESE SPEAKERS WHEN I SAW THAT VANNS HAS A GREAT DEAL FOR THE INFINITY TSS1100 HOME THEATER SURROUND SYSTEM. I DID NOT WASTE ANYTIME TO ORDER THE SPEAKERS AND I AM HAPPY I DID. VANNS IS VERY RESPONSIVE IN SHIPPING THEM. THE SPEAKERS DELIVERED WHAT IT PROMISED. DIALOGUES ARE MUCH BETTER, DISTINCT AND CLEAR AUDIO AND SURROUND SOUND SEPARATION, POWERFULL DEEP BASS. TO TEST THE SPEAKERS, THE VERY FIRST MOVIE WE VIEWED WAS THE PEARL HARBOR. IT WAS GREAAAAAT!!!!!!!

I have previously owned a set of Infinity Speakers for my 5.1 setup. After 11 years I had one fail and I could not get a replacement, so I went speaker shopping.
I chose the TSS-1100 speakers based on a combination of quality, reviews, size, and price. The new speakers would need to be of a quality that complimented my home theatre. The TSS-1100s met all my criteria.
My speakers arrived yesterday and it was easy to simply replace my existing speakers with the TSS-1100s, even my ceiling-mounted surround speakers which could still utilize my existing universal mounts. It would have been a nice touch to have a mounting hole on the top of the speaker so they did not hang upside down, but that is being picky.
Once I calibrated crossover and size of the speakers with my AV receiver I grabbed my DVD of Star Wars Episode 3 and let it play. It was simply outstanding! Everything was clear and sharp and the subwoofer crossover was superb, providing great bass.
I strongly suggest that these speakers be considered for use in other peoples system, especially at the price.

I was upgrading my whole entertainment system. New AV Receiver, new DLP, new DVD, and of course needed new speakers. I went from a 5.1 to 7.1 for my rear speakers I am keeping my old pair After researching surround sound speaker systems settled on the TSS 1100 from Infinity. I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED. The system is great all around. Nice for music, movies, TV, the whole package. Sure I could have better sound if I wanted to spend $3k....but I didnt. For the $$ this system is a great buy and with a new Onkyo 500 series 110w receiver once I got it all dialed in and tuned up it sounds AWESOME!!!!

I have been a fan of Infinity speakers since the 70s. I was confident that these would be good speakers. I bought the 7.1 setup and I am using a Dennon 2601 100w per channel amp. These speakers are awesome. I boosted the highs a little past flat for the breaking glass type of sounds and everyone has been impressed. Even an owner of that other brand, that starts with B, thought this system sounded better. I had some bass clipping when I tried to push the sub a little too much, but in all fairness, I was trying to shake the house. Buy this system, crank it up, and put in the movie Ice Age. Youll be blown away. The attack scene in Pearl Harbor is also amazing. No regrets!!!
