I recently purchased a pair of black Bose 251 outdoor speakers from VANNS and installed them the Friday prior to the Memorial Day weekend as we were having guests on Sat and Sun.

First things first. Appearancewise, they are beautiful. I preferrd the 251's vertical orientation against the 151's horrizontal since the mounting location was a rather flat high side of the house facing the porch. The speakers seem very durable and weather proof. They also come with the mounting brackets. All you need are 8 screws and speaker wire. The brackets allow for a good range of up and downwards tilt adjustability for the spealers all with 2 knobs.

I purchased 100 feet of white flat speaker wire and connected them to my amp in the living room through the basement. After fishing and hooking up all the wires read the supplied manual for correct polarity, I put a CD on and all I can say is WOW! I already have BOSE speakers inside and am used to their extraordinary sound quality but had some reservations about outdoor speaker technology that's the reason I went with BOSE.

The sound was so pure and the various instruments so distinct, I thought I was inside! From the deep base to the highs even the FM radio comes through incredibly. I now keep the radio on the entire day while working outdoors.
