Introducing the C-3

The Synergy Series C-3 is a two-way Tapered Array system that utilizes a pair of 6.5" magnetically shielded, IMG woofers and a 1" magnetically shielded, aluminum-dome tweeter coupled to a square Tractrix® Horn, which increases sensitivity and minimizes room interactions that blur sonic detail. The C-3 offers bi-wire capabilities allowing the use of one or two speaker level inputs as desired for improved connectivity.

Center channel for center-stage sound

When you are putting together a home theater system, you won't want to miss out on the detail a center channel speaker provides. High definition media like Blu-ray discs and high-def audio CDs are recorded in such a way that a special channel is created just for things like dialog, vocals, and other "center stage" information. Tractrix what?

Tractrix Horns have always been the key component of many Klipsch speakers. It's a horn-shaped device inside the speaker that sends sound effortlessly into the room. Don't forget the cables

If you are using an Blu-ray player, a receiver, or anything else that is capable of sending a high definition signal, don't forget to purchase the right cables. I bought this Klipsch C3 Center Channel Speaker on 05102010. It is a large center channel so make sure you have enough room for it. You are rewarded with great and very detailed sound if you do.

Peoples voices are very clear and crisp. Explosions are very realistic and powerful. This is almost as good as the legendary Klipsch KLF-C7. I would highly recommend this center channel to anyone.

This speaker is unbelievable! Its relatively BIG. However its also now the focus of my entertainment center and looks great. Im running a Harmon Kardon 7.1 system with in-ceiling speakers and this center channel is the polishing touch. Personally, I dont even think that the ceiling speakers need to be top dollar- this center channel makes up all the difference! It was a HUGE improvement, and I left the grill cover off for a clean mechanical look. I cant say anything bad about this speaker.

This is by far the best center channel you can buy for $200. I have this paired with the Kilpsch F-3s and they are perfect together. If you want to hear how great they are watch the EaglesFarewell Tour 1 and youll be blown away.

I had an old ~15 years Yamaha center channel that just wasnt cutting it. Anything robably wouldve been an upgrade but after doing some reading I settled on the C3. No regrets whatsoever with this. Sound is clear and crisp and the dialogue stands out like it should. With the Yamaha it always seemed like the dialogue was kind of quiet and distant. This is on the large side for a center channel so I ended up putting up a shelf on the wall just above the TV to hold it. If youre looking for one of the small, modern center channels that are barely noticeable then this isnt the model for you. Otherwise I highly recommend it.

I purchased the Klipsch Synergy C-3 center channel speaker to go with the Synergy B-3 bookshelf speakers I purchased a few months ago. The C-3 sounds great with clear and direct sound that really brings movies to life. With dual 6.5 woofers combined with the horned tweater, the C-3 delivers great mid range sound to compliment the crystal clear highs from the tweeter. I would recommend it to anyone considering a large center channel speaker. The 6.5 woofers do make the speaker a little large, but the sound more than makes up for it.

im a huge fan of Klipsch so my review may be biased. but there is not a better speaker in the market dollar for dollar. the center channel is the center piece of any home theater system, and the C3 is a monster instrument. the only downside maybe that it is huge, if you dont have room to accommodate the 6.5 woofers this may not before you. very simple set up, a little bulky cosmetically, but for less than $200, you will not find a better sound.

This speaker has a lot of haters in the Klipsch family and after owning it for nearly a year I can tell you this.... Without some form of eqalization this speaker has a tendancy to be very bright. That being said most decent AV receivers made today have some type of Eqalization such as an Audyssey Package and when utililizing this, this speaker comes out and shines along with the rest of the Synergy line.

I have been a long time Polk fan, I wanted to try some thing different. Read the great reviews on this line and purchased on a great Sale Price. In my opinion the Polks have a better sound. Bought these for the kids play room and will do there. Buy these and make sure you use your evaluation period and return if necessary.

I bought this center C-3 plus 4 surround S-3 speakers from Vanns in a bundle deal to complete my surround sound system. Note I had 2 floorstanders F-3 speakers to start plus Klipsch KSW-10 subwoofer. The C-3s size is larger than I am used to but the sound that eminates from it is crystal clear... Even at very high volumes there is no distortion.

I had been wanting to upgrade my speakers for a while and when I found this deal I couldnt pass it up. This speaker is amazing for the price. It is very clear, has very good highs and mids and a pretty good punch for a center channel. Just be warned, the speaker is quite large due to the two 6.5 woofers. I had read a lot of reviews and was still surprised at the size when it arrived. I also bought the B-3 bookshelf speakers and the S-1s for surrounds. They sound great together with my Polk sub. Everything sounds so much clearer and more detailed with this new setup. I highly recommend these for the price.

Vanns did an excellent job sending these. They did a good job notifying me of where my order was at and got them to me fairly quickly for it being free shipping. I will be doing business with them again.

I dont know a lot about electronics, but I do know that this speaker is awesome. We are using it as the front center speaker for our surround sound system. The sound comes through crystal clear and I am even hearing background sounds that I never heard before with our old speakers!

I had a Klipsch CS-1 center speaker and two CS surround speakers and two Klipsch Reference bookshelf speakers coupled with a mid-priced Denon amp in a small room and loved the combination.

I recently, moved that setup to a bedroom and purchased a large Denon and two Martin-Logan Source speakers and decided to get this CS-3 center speaker based on the high quality and efficiency of Klipsch speakers I wanted the large speaker to go with my Martin-Logans which have 8 in. woofers already and I needed the larger woofers versus in the center speaker to match the Martin-Logans . It worked great! But, I soon found the two Martin Logans were all I needed for front speakers, so I moved the CS-3 50 feet back to be a surround back speaker so my wife could get good 5-ch stereo from the Denon for std TV into the kitchen as that opens from the large living room we have . That has worked great. These are extraordinary good speakers for the price. They are much larger than many center or back speakers, but well worth it in quality and clarity. Personally I like the sound of the CS series better than Klipschs new Icon series. They are also very efficent so you dont need a really high watt amp to drive them and the build quality is excellent.

The Klipsch Synergy C3 center speaker makes a great center speaker in my 5.1 surround sound system. I listen to mostly recorded music through a HTPC driving the C3 with 100 watts maximum. Even though I have a 15 subwoofer, I have the speaker set up as a large or full range speaker because the C3 can handle much of the lower bass tones with no problem and this setup seems to meld the center and subwoofer into one speaker. I would never have splurged for the C3 but Vanns excellent pricing brought the C3 into my budget. I also purchased four Klipsch Synergy S3 surrounds from Vanns to complete my 5.1 system.

I replaced an old Sony 5.1 speaker set low end consumer grade with some Synergy B-3s and a C-3. Wow! I cant believe the difference. Sound quality across the entire range is outstanding at any volume, and the speakers fill the room in a way my smaller speakers never could. The transformation for music and movies is dramatic. Im still using my old surrounds and sub, but Im certainly not lacking for bass. I highly reccomend across the board. Fair warning though, the center channel is HUGE. No kidding. It is bigger than my left or right channel, and looks pretty silly above the TV.

I got this to replace my old center channel, and what a difference it is! The large woofers and horn tweeter easily recreate the sound that is needed for a quality home theater. This completes my set of Klipsch surround speakers and is perfectly matched with them. I was a little worried about the size of the speaker, but it looks good under my flat screen TV. This is an excellent price to performance ratio.

Definitely Top Notch Center. I was very impressed with the highs, and the crystal clear sound produced even at lower volumes.

This center speaker sounds great and is used in a basic 5 speaker home theater set up. The speaker is very big so check your cabinet size. The front speakers are Klipsch k 4.5 from the middle 90s they still sound great. The surround speakers are Klipsch synergy s-3 surround. The subwoofer is an optimus 120 watt from the 90s. The receiver is Onkyo 90 watt.
This system is a work in progress and I am completely happy with it as it is.

I bought a home theatre system for my husband this year for Christmas. Hes a sound guy by trade so he has very discriminating ears and taste. I settled on Klipsch because of the good reviews and the advice of my brother who is also quite the sound connoisseur. The center channel I bought for the system was the Synergy C-3. It was reasonably priced compared to the other channels that are out in the market and it promised to deliver crisp dialogue. I was not disappointed! Before when we would watch movies, wed actually have to turn on the subtitles just to be able to understand the dialogue because they always seemed so buried behind the musical score. Now we can understand every word without turning the volume up so loud or having to read the subtitles. I can finally hear the dialogue! Thank you Klipsch!!

While everyone knows the importance of your subwoofer to the whole movie experience, people tend to skimp on the center channel speaker. This speaker is critical. One only has to try the Kilpsch C3 to hear the difference.

The clarity of this speaker, and really the whole Synergy series brings clariity to a new level. One wants to be totally surrounded by sound, and still hear what the actors are saying. The C3 has plenty of power handling to deliver an excellent home movie experience.

This speaker is quite wide, so ensure that your TV stand has a shelf below the screen available. One of the best center channel speakers on the market today.

I upgraded to this speaker from a much smaller Klipsch center channel in hopes the dialogue would improve and the soundstage would expand. This speaker did just that! The speaker itself is huge so going in front of the lower part of the TV may not work for most setups as it might block the sensor. I have a 67 DLP so I had to put this on top of the TV since I didnt want to put it under. The clarity with dialogue is extremely good! I expected just to get a crystal clear performance and have the bass lacking, but the punch from the woofers was surprising as well. This speaker deliveres everything it claims and for the price Vanns has it listed at, its worth 3x as much! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Although this is a lower end speaker for Klipsch, it sounds awesome with both music and movies and the sale price made it an excellent deal. I also purchased the B-3 bookshelf speakers. I now have my Quintet III satellites as side and rear surrounds along with a Sub-12 subwoofer. This setup makes an excellent 7.1 surround system.
