Front and center performance

Perhaps the most important loudspeaker in a home theater system is the center channel — because as much as 80 percent of the information in a surround soundtrack may come from there! The RTiA Series CSIA4 is all-MDF constructed, which creates an acoustically stable cabinet that doesn't interfere with the sound. Dynamic Balance®

The drivers and tweeters used in Polk home speakers feature Dynamic Balance. What's this mean? Just as an x-ray enables a physician to discover the root cause of a symptom and effect the right treatment for a cure, laser imaging allowed Polk engineers to find the right combinations of materials, geometry, and construction techniques to tune out the offending resonance. Polk calls this technology Dynamic Balance. Video shielding

In the past it wasn't possible to place speakers close to your TV due to possible damage from the magnetic fields inside the speaker. This limited speaker placement options, which has become more critical with today's smaller rooms and home theater applications. "Video shielded" means that these speakers can be placed in close proximity to your television without disrupting the picture or causing permanent damage.

Ordered the CSiA4 speaker as center channel for our family room entertainment 3.1 system. This two-way speaker is not low priced because it is a superbly built and wonderfully crafted with top quality materials including real cherry wood veneer cabinet. Any audiophile would be proud to own this engineered speaker. I upgraded from a Polk CS1 center channel to match our RTiA9 front speakers. I would have ordered the CSiA6 which is bigger but the CSiA4 fit in our cabinet. The speaker enhances the front dialogue and music for movies, news broadcasts and concerts without coloring, just accurate and balanced full range reproduction of every note. The speaker terminals have pop-out plastic caps to accommodate banana plugs that provide an easy connection, good electrical contact, void of protruding wire stands. Vanns price was very competitive, shipping was fast and the speaker was very well packed in double boxes.
