I have the Rosenut RC-70 as front speakers and a Black Ash RC-LCR as center. The Veritas is supposed to be a step up in the energy product line. So when I saw the Rosenut V5.2C offered at a good price, I bought one. To my surprise, the sound quality was a step or two down from the RC-LCR. So I returned it to Vanns.
On paper, the two speakers have the same frequency response and the same size. In listening comparison, the V5.2C is very bright and lacking in bass. The s and t sounds in dialogue feel artificially emphasized to gain clairity. After a while, I found it annoying and switched back to the RC-LCR. The difference is not due to break-in. Rather, the V5.2C perhaps spend more money in the exterior finish, which is glossy like pianos on all sides, but its a 2-way system with 3 drivers. The RC-LCR is a 3-way system with 5 drivers. The bass drivers are listed as 5.25 on both, but the ones on v5.2C are actually about half and inch smaller.
Energy was bought out by Klipsch in recent years. Their new Veritas series appears to very well done in the exterior finish, but based on the center speaker alone, it may not be as good as the old RC series. This may be why the RC models are now again available through Vanns after they disappeared on the market.

I bought V5.2 about 3 weeks ago to replace my Klipsch XL-23. It sounds so much better than XL-23 I have hear more detail from v5.2 when I play either movies or music. I also have a pair of V6.3 as my main. They are the best speaker I have heard. I went to Bestbuy to listen to B&W CM9, they sound a little warmer than V6.3, but V6.3 have tighter bass than CM9. Yes, V6.3 sound a little bright for some people I like it that way, but they dont sound as bright as my Klipsch XF-48.
I strongly recommend V5.2 and V6.3 to anyone. I love them they look and sound amazing!!!!

I bought the V5.2C as part of the bundled Veritas V6.3 package. The sound is magnificent. The Rosenut cabinets are absolutely beautiful. I couldnt be more pleased. Thank you Vanns!!!

I was supprised at the size of the speaker when It arrived. This Energy center speaker replaced my Sony center that was less than a year old. I can definitely hear the difference in sound quality. This Energy speaker is much more aesthetically pleasing to the ear. I am very happy with the Energy V5.2C speaker and will continue to purchase more speakers from the Energy company to match my home audio equipment if they keep making good products. I am not disappointed at all.

After some long researching, I found these speakers. Needed some good speakers for movies and audio. I couldnt believe how cheap they where going for at vanns. Every where else these speakers sell for and arm and a leg. Let me tell you, I called vanns because I wanted three of them. One for the center and the other two for the left and right channell. When I called it rang like twice and a guy pick up and said hello how can I help you. It took me by surprise as I didnt get a machine with options. Which was great. Ordered the speakers and it got here in 4 days. Let me tell ya, the speakers are gorgeous. I got the black ones. All three came with white gloves and a plunger for the back of the speakers and 4 speaker grips for the bottom of the speakers. The sound that came out of these speakers is fantastic. I heard instruments I never heard before which took me by surprise. The 1 tweeter on these bad boys are smooth but could be sharp if you want it to be. For movies I played a horror flick and the littlest sounds came clear. When the scary parts came the speakers came strong and sharp. So far everything is what I hope it would be and more. The construction of the speakers are top notch, made to last type of build. I really recommend anyone that love music and movies to buy these speakers, and I surely recommend you to by it from vanns.com. No sales tax and free delivery. Thanx vanns.

This speaker sounds absolutely amazing. While it is not yet fully broken in, I have had this speaker louder than I could stand and the quality never faded.
In addition to the sound, the piano black gloss finish sets it apart visually from any other speaker out there. The white gloves that come with it for handling purposes showcase just how good the finish is.
Upon hearing this speaker, I immediately followed up with a purchase of Veritas monitors for my front speakers.

This replaced my Klipsch Synergy equivalent in my home theater entertainment room. The finish is quite beautiful and does require a little more delicate upkeep. This speaker is fairly big for a center channel. Recommend measuring your space before buying this. Sound quality is noticeably better than the Synergy center channel to my ears and far more eye catching. The speaker comes with white gloves for handling, self sticking bumpers and a very nice magnetic grill. Great value coming from Vanns on this speaker.

Recently my Energy Veritas 2.0C center channel went out and I needed a new center channel that would match my Energy Veritas 2.4 tower speakers. I looked at used speakers but decided to try the new Veritas line from Energy. I was worried about the new Veritas not matching up well with my older Veritas line. It ends matching very well! The price and fast shipping from Vanns was fantastic. My center went out only 5 days away from Christmas and I knew I was getting a bunch of movies for Christmas so a center channel was a must have! It shipped very quickly and sounds great. I am glad I was able to get such a good value from Vanns and fast shipping. Will do business with them again.
