This third generation Synergy surround speaker also benefits from more than 55 years of Klipsch engineering experience and aesthetic upgrades that are representative of a new quality of craftsmanship.The S3 delivers crystal-clear sonic detail through the careful placement of two Tractrix® Horn loaded aluminum-dome tweeters and one 6.5" IMG woofer. These are great side surround speakers. They have a higher than the rear surround. As a result, they work very well mounted to the left and right walls in the seating area.
The sound has all the clarity of the Synergy products.
I would recommend these as great surround speakers, but consider a smaller pair for the rear surround.

The klipsch S-3 surround speakers are amazing. I could not ask for anything better for the price. They are a bit large but if that is what you are going for then these are the speakers for you. The clarity is astounding and the base is deffinately there. I had a Bose accoustimass 10 system and beside the S3s with a sub the Bose just dont cut it. To say something about vanns the service was wonderfull an the shipping was fast and free. The fact that the speakers were marked down to almost 60 off was a added plus. I can confidently say that I will buy from vanns again.

I did quite a bit of research on these Synergy Klipsch speakers before I purchased them. Having owned Klipsch speakers before, I didnt expect anything less than dynamic. I wasnt let down at all! The price you pay on Vanns and the power these speakers pump out are a steal! They are absolutely LOUD and deliver sound so broad, they can literally fill the room by themselves! Please consider the size of these speakers and note they are a lot bigger than most surrounds out there. Allow for plenty of wall space when you put these up. Other than the size of the speakers, youre talking about some very, VERY nice performance that will definitely put a smile on your face. Glass shattering in movies almost makes the ears bleeds and bass from gunshots are produced with no distortion! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Bought the S-3s with a C-3 Center, 2 F-3s floor, Sub 12 Subwoofer, & Yamaha RX-V1065BL Receiver! I am going to buy 2 more S-3s for going from 5.1 - 7.1 surround after Christmas! They are pretty big but if you turn up the volume these will last longer with less vibration!!! One other thing I will add! I bought a Klipsch 5.1 surround system for my computer in 2002. It went out in 2008 with warranty long expired! Klipsch had me send it to a repair center shipping paid by me, & a flat $25 repair fee regardless of what needed fixed Then they sent it back with them paying the return shipping cost! KLIPSCH HAS MAYBE THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE OUT THERE!!!!!!!

I have the entire Synergy 3 series. They sound awesome together. I have been trying to get one more set of the S3s since I purchased the first pair. I need them to complete the 7.1 system... Hopefully Vanns gets them back in stock.

They were a breeze to install and sounded great. The only downside is my wife conciders them far too large. The dimensions make it seem like it is not much larger than the C2 center channel but it is.

These are great speakers. The amount of sound that comes out of them is great. I bought these to finish off my Klipsch system and I am glad I did. The only negitive is their size. They are a little large but my goal was performance over size. These are much better than the Yamaha surrounds I had. I get about 4x as much sound. In my opinion Klipsch speakers in general blow away any other speaker. If you are looking for a surround speaker that really performs these are what you are looking for. When I decide to go from a 5.1 setup to a 7.1 setup I will be buying another set of these.
