Good sound centers on the details

You depend on your center channel to provide clear, audible vocals. That's why Energy's Veritas V-Mini-C center channel, in all its petite glory, won't let you down. The tweeters bring together wide dispersion characteristics and superior off-axis response thanks to the stable aluminum dome design. And by using Energy's proprietary Convergent Source Module design, the tweeter and midrange drivers are housed in separate chambers. This both lowers resonance by eliminating unwanted interaction between high and low frequencies and allows for high power handling capabilities.

Changing the way distortion is dealt with

Energy doesn't believe faithful sound reproduction is going to come from run-of-the-mill speaker design. That's why they developed the Ribbed Elliptical Surround. The elliptical shaped surround, as opposed to the traditional half roll design, reduces distortion dramatically. The elliptical design also increases the size of the excursion and piston area, which in turn, provides greater efficiency. The result is clean, pure life-like sound.

Energy

This speaker boasts big sound, accurate sound, and can also boast of a great legacy of sound. I matched this center channel up with the Energy V5.1 Monitor 2-way speakers also offered by Vanns. I found the center channel to have a very clean and appealing voice, and they projected very well even when surrounded by much larger stereo speakers. Frankly I dont think you could find a better sounding center channel in so small a package, and I think a small center channel is very desirable for practical home entertainment centers. Its a perfect match to the V5.1 monitors. And yes, the rose wood cabinet is simply beautiful. Even the wife loved it...

I bought this speaker for my upstairs HD TV setup because my entertainment unit was limited by space. The speaker is VERY attractive - but unfortunately hidden in my unit except from the front - but thats my issue! This speaker really sounds great with my limited 3 speaker setup - 2 older Klipsch LR main speakers & the Energy V-Mini-C as my center channel. We dont really turn the volume up too loud on this system - but this speaker really details voices well. The bass is there - but not this speakers prime objective. Because I liked this speaker so much - I bought its bigger brother Energy V-5.2-C Center Speaker from Vanns too - for my downstairs unit.
