Presenting: Omnipolar technology

Mirage's superior loudspeaker technology can be voiced in a single word — Omnipolar. Research shows that in live musical environments, about 30% of what we hear is direct sound while 70% is reflected sound from walls, ceilings, and floors that reaches our ears a few milliseconds after the direct sound. The brain uses direct sound for identification and to establish location, but uses the reflected sound to determine musicality and spaciousness, as well as direction. Conventional direct-radiating speakers with front-mounted drivers produce the opposite ratio of direct to reflected sound, or 70% direct to 30% reflected.

Two placement options

Installing any new piece of audio equipment ought to be easy. And the folks at Mirage agree. The OS3-CC center-channel speaker offers you two simple mounting options. First, you can use the included wall-mount bracket to install the OS3-CC on the wall directly below your wall-mounted HDTV. Or, second, with the included detachable table-stand support, you can place the OS3-CC on an entertainment center or credenza below your TV. Further, thanks to magnetic shielding of the drivers, you can place the OS3-CC near other A/V components without any risk of damage or interference.

A quick note: A Stock status

My move from stereo home theater sound to 5.1 started with older Mirage Omnisat V-2 satellites for the center channel. By adding this 3 way speaker as the center channel my wife and I have both noticed and enjoyed an improved clarity in the dialog.

Bought this center channel to replace a Klipsch. This unit is very clear and I could hear things that I couldnt with the Klipsch. Im enjoying movies a lot more now. What a difference in the clarity of dialoge when playing movies! I had a home theater in which I was not satisfied with my center channel I replaced my old center channel with this unit and have been much more pleased with my entire system.
