The Center of Attention
The three-way OM Design Series OMDC2 center channel features Mirage's proprietary OMNIPOLAR technology creating a 360-degree soundfield bringing movies and audio tracks to life. Never before has "being at the movies" felt so realistic and so seamless. The OMDC2 offers precise dialog placement while at the same time conveying a spaciousness and presence impossible for conventional forward radiating center channel speakers to achieve.
Great Sound All Around
Conventional forward radiating center channels are directional in dispersion and require that the listener be restricted to a "sweet spot" in the desired sound field. The OMDC2's OMNIPOLAR technology is uniform in dispersion, providing a perfectly spherical, full spectrum sound radiation pattern that greatly expands the prime listening area. It is this 360-degree radiation pattern that allows the listener to be positioned anywhere in the room and off-axis of the center channel and still enjoy pinpoint imaging.
Beautiful Sound, Beautiful Design
The OMDC2 is a true three way design featuring a 5.25-inch multi-layer carbon fibre/fiberglass hybrid midrange with underhung motor system, two 6.5-inch proprietary hybrid woofers and a 1.1-inch chambered titanium dome tweeter. Two sets of gold plated binding posts allow the center channel to be bi-amp and/or bi-wired. The OMDC2 features a beautiful hand lacquered curved cabinet. Its stunning appearance and its impressive sound guarantee to make this center channel a timeless classic for all music and home theater enthusiasts.
Part of The Ultimate System
If you are looking for the ultimate home theater audio system, look no further than the Mirage OM Design series. Combine the OMD28 front speakers with this unique OMDC2 center channel speaker, add a couple of OMDR OMNIPOLAR rear surrounds and you will never have to go to the movies again.

I couldnt resist the sale price Vanns has on the C2 center. I was using the C1 before it. I havent played the C2 for the full 100 hours of break in time recommended by Mirage and I really doubt that 100 hours is going to make a difference in the sound so just be aware maybe the sound will change. The C2 has a lot lower bass response than the C1. It could be used as a full range speaker, actually. The mids and highs are very similar to the C1 but the C2 is smoother - it handles sibilance and volume peaks better than the C1, yet is no less crisp and clear. Both center speakers do an excellent job with dialog - no muddiness at all. The better bass response of the C2 does not muddy the sound at all - the bass is only there when needed. The C2 is gorgeous. It is also built like a tank and quite heavy. Make sure you have enough room for this thing and also have adequate support because it is big. I knew the measurements before I bought it but even so, it seems very large when you actually open the box and see it in person. It also requires a lot of power. My recommendation is to use a separate amp, or if you do use an AVR, make sure it has plenty of power. I connected mine to an Emotiva XPA-1 amp that puts out 500 wattschannel into 8 ohms 1,000 into 4 ohms and thats the first time I saw so many LED meter lights light up. It needs a lot more power than the C1, or the OMD-15 or 5. If you have an amp that supplies the current, this center channel is wonderful. Im not saying it needs something as powerful as an XPA-1, but it does need at least 100-200 watts of real power not fudged specs like so many manufacturers use for their equipment - like peak power, or with only 1 or 2 channels operating - the specs need to give the power per channel with all channels being driven simultaneously. The C2 looks good, sounds good, and Vanns latest price is well worth it. Dealing with Vanns is also a pleasure. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I matched this OMD-C2 with front OMD-15, surround OMD-R, rear OMD-5, and two Prestige OMD-S10 subs.
Unbelievable! The fluid sound of this center channel with the other Mirage speakers is just about seemless.
It is still breaking in and getting better almost hour by hour.
Thanks Vanns for the great offer, service, delivery, and product selection.

If you havent listened to the Mirage OMD 28s you dont know what your missing. I started my home theater 4 years ago with Mirage Fx series speakers and loved them! I upgraded to the OMD 15s last year, wow what a great sound! Now I just purchased the OMD 28s along with the OMD -C2 and OMD-Rs for the surround. The OMD-C2 fills my center stage unbelievable!
I cant believe the difference! A great investment in my home theater and purchasing through Vanns is always a pleasure.
