This gorgeous monitor has the sharpest and brightest color display of any that I have ever seen. Ordering was a breeze, delivery right on time as promised, and set up done easily in minutes. A terrific value at the price, I could not recommend a product more highly.

I ordered the SDM-HS74PB on the Saturday before Labor Day. Because of the holiday they could not ship until Tuesday. I paid for 2 or 3 day ground delivery. The item was shipped on Tuesday Fed-Ex Air and I received it Wednesday morning at 830 am.
The monitor display is very clear.
I had to use the DVI-D cable with my analogdigital VisionTek Radeon 7K PCI video card in order for the monitor to go into the power save mode. With the analog cable you get a loss of signal message that jumps around like a screen saver.

I have owned several Sony CRT monitors. In my opinion Sony makes the very best. Sony has now focused on producing LCD monitors. The only CRT they are currently producing is the GDM-C520K and costs Over $1500. The Sony SDM-HS74P, the P stands for Premium, I purchased from Vann's replaced a 19' Sony CRT. I am an avid PC builder and gamer. I was worried about ghosting. Well my worries are over. The Sony SDM-HS74PB is Awesome. The 16ms response time handled Doom 3 flawlessly It produces colors so rich that you would think you were sitting in front of a CRT monitor. I could have found another 16ms lcd cheaper, However, I just loved the style of the HS74PB. It is plain gorgeous. it looks just as cool when it is powered off. You get what you pay for. I can see why Sony has elected to focus on producing LCD's. The Sony SDM-HS74PB is near perfect. I highly recommend. This was my first purchase from Vann's and won't be my last. Thanks Vann's.
