Ready to print, copy and scan at the highest levels? With the PIXMA MP980, you'll create 4" x 6" photos with spectacular 9600 x 2400 color dpi resolution (max.) in only about 20 seconds. The 7-color (including the special gray ink) system produces photos that are richer and more life-like than ever before. Scans of photos, negatives and even thick notebooks will yield superb 4800 x 9600 color dpi results, and copies will be more faithful to your originals. The Ethernet interface enables networking, and the large 3.5" TFT display lets you preview images in high resolution, then print directly from compatible memory cards, without a computer. The built-in Film Adapter Unit provides a backlight on top of the scanner so that you can scan in films such as slides and negatives.

Want to print photos directly from a compatible memory card? Simply insert the card into the built-in slot, select images on the LCD display, and print. You can also print photos directly from you digital camera or DV camcorder. Ready to cut the cord? This PIXMA MP980 All-In-One's built-in Wi-Fi capability lets you print wirelessly from anywhere in the house, with simple setup. You can also network it via Ethernet cable and print from a connected computer in another room.

LCD viewscreen and copy settings

Get a sneak preview of your project with the 3.5" high definition viewscreen. Easily navigate the user interface with the Scroll Wheel — simply glide your finger around the wheel in either direction to control all the functions of your MP980. A self-operating paper output tray automatically opens when printing or copying. Your all-in-one printer has got the smarts, too. Dual Color Gamut Processing technology automatically optimizes quality based on the type of originals you are copying.

No warm up and low energy usage

Thanks to the high-luminance white LED lamps, the unit is ready to scan the instant you press Power, with zero warm-up time. Plus, these advanced lamps quickly switch to Stand-by mode after scanning, saving energy.

I have been using this printer for about a month now and it works GREAT! It takes some time to set up the wireless and can be a bit difficult but is well worth utilizing. I have used it for printing pictures and it has produced great color. I am excited to try the blu-tooth option with my Iphone and print documents right from my phone. Great printer with endless options, highly recommend.
