Based upon your height and laundry room needs, the 15.5" XPH1550VW pedestal makes it easier to load, unload, and fill the dispensers on select Whirlpool and Maytag laundry appliances. This pedestal is compatible with Whirlpool Duet® and Duet Sport® series laundry units and Maytag Epic®, Epic Z®, and Performance Series units. A large storage drawer holds and hides your laundry supplies, including large detergent bottles and boxes. The XHP1550VW pedestal is recommended for anyone over 5' 4" in height.

I have a bad back and it is so nice not to have to bend over to put in or pull out clothes from the washer or dryer. I would recommend these to anyone bad back or not.

I like these pedestals as they raise the washer and dryer 15.5 inches off the floor so theres very little bending over when doing the washing and drying. Also, there s plenty of storage room in the pedestals bottom drawers.
Everyone and everyone especially people with back problems, the elderly, parents with large familys. would benefit from owning these pedestals.
I purchased these pedestals due to making it easier to wash and dry -- load and unload the clothes. Easier on the back.
