If you want to connect your iPod to your Denon AVR-4306 or S-Series model, this is the cable you need. This one-meter (3.2-feet) cable provides a proprietary iPod connection to your AVR-4306 or S-Series Denon models.

Denon meets iPod

Listen to your favorite iPod playlists on your Denon receiver using the AKP-100 iPod cable. This optional 1m (3.2') proprietary iPod connection cable allows you to connect your iPod to your Denon AVR-4306 or S-Series receiver, permitting full command and control of the iPod with full on-screen display of all iPod data. Full access to the iPod is achieved via the Denon receiver remote. Charging of your iPod is also possible through the receiver-connected AKP-100 cable.

Note

Some features or functions of the AKP-100 cable are dependent upon the receiver to which the cable is connected. Not all functions may be available with all combinations of receivers.

Although the AKP-100 works with an iphone for music, it does not charge an iphone or accomodate some of the features advertised for iPod. For a cable that is over $50, I would have hoped for more universal performance. Other than that, it works as advertised and no set up required.

This iPod cable works perfectly.
Installing the iPod with this cable on the Denon receiver however, took quite some time.
Denon receivers are not very customer friendly.
And $50 for a simple cable is way too much ofcourse but what else can you do?....
Its the only possibility to play your iPod in a proper way on your audio system!

This iPod cord from Denon worked as advertised. It connected to my receiver easily and the iPod plays. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easy solution to connect their Denon.
