Transmitting
The operational distance between the transmitter unit and the receiver unit can be up to approximately 150 feet. However, that distance can be shortened by obstacles that hinder or block the signal. If you are experiencing too much interference you can switch to a clearer channel for better reception. The transmitter is equipped with a plug in power type MIC jack (monaural 3.5mm dia.). This means that the microphone takes it's power from the device it's connected to (i.e. transmitter unit). If you want to use a microphone other than the supplied lavalier mic, you can connect any compatible microphone to the transmitter.
Receiving
The receiver unit is equipped with a MIX MIC jack so you can connect an optional microphone can be connected. This enables you to mix audio from the transmitter unit with sound picked up by the secondary mic. Possible uses for this valuable feature include using the MIX MIC jack to connect an audience mic for questions following a lecture, or maybe to pick up the band or crowd noise at a rally or performance. The receiver is also equipped with an earphone jack to which the supplied earphone can be connected. This enables you to easily monitor the subject using the transmitter unit.
Added Convenience
The transmitter and receiver units are equipped with clip type holders. The clips are adjustable and can be rotated 360 degrees so the transmitter and receiver can be easily positioned and comfortably worn on your clothing. The supplied lavalier microphone has a built-in wind screen effect so that you can use microphone in the open air without a windscreen.
