So I bought a Samsung 61 inch LED DLP and thought it would be great to have this DVD to calibrate it. This DVD does work great and really made the HDTV come alive with contrast, color, brightness, & sharpness. This DVD explains everything in a very easy to understand way making it perfect for those individuals that dont speak tech.
The downfall of this DVD is that you probably already own it in the form of Windows Media Center. If you own a PC that has this program, then it would be a wiser investment to buy the cord to connect your PC to your HDTV [most HDTVs have a PC monitor in to use the TV as a computer monitor]. Running the calibration program in Windows Media Center will produce the same results because the Monster DVD calibration is exactly the same as the calibration program in Windows Media Center.
This should have been listed in the description of this product because I bought the DVD not knowing that it was the same calibration program as in Windows Media Center, but Vanns accepted the return of this DVD so I only lost out on shipping it back.
So, if you dont have a computer that runs Windows Media Center and you are not planning on buying a new computer anytime soon [Vista Home Premium & Ultimate come with Windows Media Center] then this DVD is the easiest way to calibrate your new HDTV. |
