Since we installed this surge protector, we have had no surges or power failures that would test its functioning. This is one of those invisible support units that most people probably will never know exist. One trusts the sales people when they recommend such a unit, and one considers this almost like an insurance policy against equipment damage. Like most insurance policies, one hopes it never has to be used, but is probably good value for the money spent.

This surge protector is a must for any of your electronic devices especially a tv.
I have my tv, satelite and DVD player connected and gives me some protection in case of lightning.
