I purchased this battery via Amazon, as part of the Panasonic Lumix ZS3 camera package. The purchase decision was based on product & seller reviews.
The battery is with a colleague, who isnt using it, and hasnt reached me yet. So, in fact, Im yet to lay my eyes on the product. I expect not much to go wrong with something as simple as a battery - keeping fingers crossed.
I didnt want to rate performance, but the review system wont let me leave it blank.
I had requested expedited shipping 2-3 days, but there was a slight shipping delay another 2-3 days, because of inventory issues. The folks at Vanns informed me about this over email, and after another email request, Vanns refunded shipping charges.

This battery arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I popped it on the charger and its held a charge nicely through some pretty significant shoots and menu-digging. Dont bother with off-brand batteries its not worth the trouble, as these do what they are supposed to do with no fuss.

Add on for Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 which I purchased at Vanns also. Good battery life of around 2 hours for video. Charges quickly. It is an Original Panasonic battery and not some knock off that may not work in your camera.

In Egypt, I took many hundreds of pictures with a Panasonic DMC-ZS1 camera powered by the Panasonic DMC-BCG 10 PP battery. No problems. Actually , I bought two of these batteries so that when one ran down after a day plus of taking pictures, another one would be ready. The run down battery only took several hours to fully recharge, even on 220 volt current with a converter. The battery was expensive but appears to be worth it.

This is the original ID Secured battery from Panasonic and it works great in my DMC-ZS3 camera even with the latest firmware.
Dont take any chances with aftermarket batteries that may not work with the IDSecurity on your Panasonic camera, get the real officially supported batteries from Vanns.
Vanns was great they were one of only three vendors that had the item in stock and they were the only ones that were not trying go price gouge by adding an extra $20 to the MSRP.
Not only did Vanns have the item I needed when I needed it but they charged a fair price for it and the customer service and fast shipping were AWESOME. Vanns is definitely on my very short list of preferred vendors from now on.

I looked everywhere for an ID secured, authorized replacement battery for my new Lumix ZS1. It was backordered every place I looked. Found it here, still backordered, but ordered anyway. I emailed Vanns to inquire about how long it would take, given an honest answer, that they didnt know, but in a few days I got my battery. It looks exactly like the battery the camera came with and it works as expected. Thanks Vanns! Not your fault Panasonic isnt making enough of these!
