The transformer in the unit automatically regulates power, allowing the S10 to correct brownouts and over voltages between 90-140 volts to within 3% of 120 volts. Its a power conditioner, just plug it in power it up and go! How easy is that. Power conditioner works as advertised. Gives me peace of mind for my entire Home Theater and Hi Fi system, and media server. It comes with the APC PowerChute software. Has a load of nice options, 2 delayed start circuits as well as high current circuits for amps and subwoofers. Just keep in mind that this device weights close to 80 lbs. Maneuvering it into place is probably the hardest aspect of setup. Solid APC quality.

IT IS 1000VA AND 600 WATTS FOR THE TOP POWER DRAW,but it is the same size and WEIGHT of the S15 With THE SAME BATTERY PACK. So if you use the right load in the APC s10s case 400 WATTS TO BE SAFE it will RUN LONGER. If your gear pulls 500 watts GO FOR the S15. THE REASON most people screw up with UPC GEAR IS UNDERSIZING THE UPC. This machine will do a 400 watt load with ease. The S15 will do a 600 watt load WITH EASE. Please people THINK PRICE PRICE PRICE. THIS MACHINE IS on sale so low [xxx] shipped to your home it looks to good to be true!. NEW 2 YEAR WARRANTY! UNBEATABLE PRICE. THE S15 IS also silly low in price UN BEATABLE. JUST REMEMBER. S10 WILL DO UP TO 400WATTS WITH EASE LIKE A WALK IN THE PARK. THE S15 WILL DO 600 WATTS WITH NO ISSUES AT ALL. THE S10 IS RATED FOR 600 WATTS AND WILL DO 600 WATTS but it will run out of power quicker. The s15 is rated for 900 watts and will do 900 watts. It will run warmer but do it. This is a superb product that will power even the most demanding home theater systems. Its a beast at 60-lbs, but obviously very well made. The front panel comes off for easy battery replacement and the unit provides real-time feedback of runtime and other key parameters for those technology geeks out there. The current price at Vann's for the silver model simply cannot be beat ANYWHERE on the net, much less any retail outlet. Excellent bang for the buck!

For me this power conditioner is the best I,ever had I can clearly see improvement over the picture and sound quality compare to the last one,build quality is excellent one of the heaviest one.nice display and settings are really nice nothing difficult.price is the best ,I dont think you can anything better at this price range.apc two thumbs up thank you,very much nice work

Hi,
I recently ordered the APC S10 from Vanns. I pre-oredered the unit, and was notified within a couple of days that the unit would be shipping. I was kept informed every step by Vanns of order through delivery.,
I have a home office with entertainment and computer components. We have periods with lots of lightning and power outages. Lightning has taken out the power source of a large television and blackouts have caused HDD errors in my computer system. The RAID system provides for data backup with my computer - but recovery takes awhile and slows down the computer.
Ive noticed occasional hums in the audio portion associated with feed from my cable provider. Clean power is problematic in some parts of my house because of the constant change in computer use.
This unit resolves the problem with blackouts and lightning, and cleans up the power for my entertainment system. My sound system has less background hum caused by unfiltered power or signal from the cable source.
As one user noted, this system is quite large - check the measurements before buying if you have space constraints.

I can not even imagine how these can sell for this price. I love the information the APC unit gives me about the condition of the AC power. My only complaint is the chiropractic bill incurred due to the heft of this monster, and as a minor note the depth of the unit which seldome fits in many AV cabinets.

First of all this is a very heavy unit. I literally had to slide the box through the doorway from the outside because it was over 80lbs. The power conditioner works great and has many outlets. Everything works great so far. I havent seen any noticeable difference as I plugged in my 55 Led tv, Playstation 3, onkyo sr608 receiver and cable box. I am well relieved that my stereo equipment is now protected

The APC S10 silver appears to do everything it was advertised to do. Havent been able to test the voltage regulation, battery back, or surge protection yet but thats probably a good thing. Panel information is good but one minor complaint...I would prefer if the status display stayed on the mode that it is set on. Nice design except the paint finish on top is somewhat scuffed up which accounts for the lower overall rating. I would recommend this unit at the discount price but probably wouldnt be able to justify 400 for the black model.

I have had a APC unit for for my PC for over 15 years. So having purchased a new LED TV, Blu-ray Disc Player, and AV Receiver I went with the Uninterruptible Power Supply maker that has proven itself. The APC S10 proved itself shortly after I installed it. I was watching a Blu-ray movie with the surrond system on when I hear an alarm. It took a while for me to realize there was a black out in my area and the alarm was from the APC unit. It was flashing ON BATTERY 2 HRS AVAILABLE. Turned off the alarm, turned on a small 7w - 30w output lamp connected to my APC and turned off the entertainment system. Power was restored after several hours. The utility company was quick to say it cannot and does not quarantee an uninterrupted supply of electricity but I can say my APC unit does.

I purchased this unit to replace an APC J10 that was not powerful enough for my AV system. It was easy to install and the extra 100 watts capability was just what my system demanded. The pure sine wave battery back-up works seemlessly and the power conditioning provides crystal clear, consistent sound through my Maggies, powered by the new Rotel 15 Series 500 watt in 4 ohms amp and matching processor. And the surge protection provides piece of mind that my system will not be harmed by power surges, etc. Its a superlative unit and necessary component to my AV system, which I highly recommend to others seeking power conditioning, battery back-up or surge protection for their high-end systems.
