PNY PSDHC16G10EF
16GB class 10 SDHC memory card
Capture and store your photos, movies, and other files on this class 10 SDHC card from PNY.
Color may vary.
Let’s talk about memory. We don’t mean the ones that you’re going to capture with a camera or camcorder: those moments that define you; the ones you want to look back on and remember. We’re talking about the kind of memory that’s key to those kinds of memories. This SDHC card from PNY memory is perfect for capturing those moments on your point-and-shoot digital camera or camcorder. With 16GB of memory, you’ll have plenty of space to store every shot. Plus, because it’s removable media, you can even use it to archive pictures, movies, books, or any other type of file.
Higher capacity SD cards are a result of upgrading the File Allocation Table (FAT), a data storage protocol that tracks and locates files in memory. With several different protocols from FAT12/16 to FAT32, each uses more bits to identify each cluster on the card. This makes locating files easier and allows for smaller clusters, improving the efficiency. Even if a file gets fragmented (split up into various areas in memory), the file allocation table can still track it. If that made no sense to you, here’s an easy way to think of it: these cards can store a lot of information, and almost any computer can read them.
How fast is your SD card running? No, no, we’re not going to tell you to go out and catch it. Speed is an important attribute when you’re dealing with any sort of memory, especially if you’re using a digital camcorder or SLR camera. SD card speed is divided into classes, and the class of the card is how many megabytes per second it can read or write. The more information that has to move, and the faster you need your card to read and write. But, with these classes there’s one caveat (isn’t there always?): the speed data moves is not always constant. To put it another way, a card’s speed can go between highs and lows when writing data. This can become a problem, especially if it dips too low, because it can cause errors to crop up in your files, or even make a file completely unusable. So that once-in-a-lifetime shot or movie you just took can suddenly become a whole bunch of nonsensical 1’s and 0’s. This high speed Class 10 SDHC card is perfect for . . . well almost anything. It’s got enough speed to reliably capture your memories on devices like high-end SLR cameras and HD camcorders.

How can something so cute, hold so much? I haven't filled this up yet, so I'm pleased. I must say I broke out laughing when I saw the tiny little case. Obviously this is my first camcorder and my first experience with all this stuff. The play back is gorgeous!

Theres not much to say about a memory card unless it is completely unusable, so the only thing I can say is that this card is super fast! No problems, no complaints, would definitely purchase again.

Have a good memory. I took over 700 pics a couple vids on a 12 mp camera and had about a thousand left. Seems pretty high speed. This one is for HD I believe. I went to Yellowstone and had to find a tiny photo store to load my pics on CD, or pay much more for another card.

I purchased this SD card to use with my new Panasonic HDC-SD60K camcorder. I read a few reviews that says it was no better than a Class 4 card, but my experience has show otherwise. I have been very pleased with this card. It has worked flawlessly and is definitely top quality. It loads quickly and is definitely faster than my previous cards.
