Any Station You Choose-Digitally
The iTrip mini allows you to select from over 100 stations, which means you can always find an open band no matter how many radio stations are in your area. You can choose any station, not just the 4 stations typically found on other devices. Additionally, digital tuning in iTrip mini also means the signal doesn't drift. Other products use analog circuitry, which allows the signal to drift over time. But not iTrip mini. Digital tuning means no drift.
Power To Go
The iTrip mini is also more powerful than competing products, providing a significantly more powerful signal. Although the transmission range will vary depending on your area and receiving radio, iTrip has been used at some pretty amazing distances. The iTrip mini has power to receive, but is itself powered by the iPod mini itself. No additional power source is required... just plug it in and go. Better still, you can charge your iPod mini while iTrip mini is in use and broadcasting. The iTrip mini turns itself on when it's connected to the iPod mini. If the iTrip mini is already connected to the iPod mini it turns itself on after detecting a few seconds of audio. In other words, just press play!
Awesome Bandwidth
Over 100 stations are available with the iTrip mini. You actually select your station directly from the iPod mini itself. An installed playlist called 'iTrip Stations' contains every available station. You can keep them all in your iPod mini or just keep the ones used regularly - you manage them just like songs.
Made For Each Other
The iTrip was made just for the iPod - and it shows. With beautiful white curves and a form that mates perfectly on top of your iPod, you'll wonder if they were separated at birth. Don't worry about installation problems either: two rubber finger grippers that makes attaching and removing iTrip super easy.
The Best Place To Transmit
The "best" place for iTrip mini to transmit on the FM band is near the center, somewhere around 98-,103MHz. You'll get better stereo separation near the center, which makes the music sound "more stereo" or "wider" than you get transmitting at either the top or bottom of the band. Ideally, you want to find a frequency that no station is broadcasting on. No music, no talking... just static. You'll also want to make sure no major stations are broadcasting near this frequency, if possible. This will decrease the chance of bleed through from other stations while listening to your music, and will ensure the best performance from the iTrip mini.
