The small physical size of the Lumix 14mm f2.5 lens clearly demonstrates how the m43 system can take advantage of mirrorless interchangeable lens camera design. When mounted on my Panasonic DMC-G1, the lens doesnt even protrude past the hand grip - and the camera now fits into a coat pocket rather easily. This lens is noticeably smaller than the Lumix 20mm f1.7 pancake. It is an excellent choice for street-shooting candids, as well as interiors and landscapes. The lens produces sharp photos with very good contrast. It focuses quickly and quietly so it should work fine for video. Pixel peepers will find a little bit of softness at the corners which is not unusual for a wideangle lens, but normal viewing and prints look just fine.
