Transfer your memories to DVD
The VRDMC5 is the next generation DVDirect DVD recorder. Transfer home movies and digital photos to DVD, quickly and easily, without a PC. Connect virtually any camcorder, VCR, even Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and record video to DVD in real time. Insert a supported memory card into the VRDMC10 recorder and record digital pictures directly to DVD as a slideshow, or for photo storage. Transfer high definition video in native 1080 resolution from Sony AVCHD HDD/Memory Stick Handycam camcorders to discs that playback in Blu-ray Disc players. Enhanced connectivity to Sony HDD/DVD/Memory Stick Handycam camcorders will record video to DVD at up to 6x speed and even "span" multiple DVDs if the video exceeds the capacity of a single DVD. Capability, flexibility, and ease of use make the VRDMC10 a DVD recorder like no other.
Control your recordings
Record all the video from a Sony HDD/Memory Stick Handycam camcorder, just selected scenes, or only video recorded since the last DVD burn — all at up to 6x speed (60 minutes of video in about 10 minutes).
Handy editing features
Preview video and digital photos on the built-in 2.7" color LCD screen. For editing and navigation, choose from four preset menu and title designs. The VRDMC10 does automatic DVD chaptering every 5, 10, or 15 minutes, even stop-timer recording.

Only interconnects with Sony video cams for hi def recording WILL NOT - I repeat WILL NOT record from a DVR in hi-def, only the standard 640 dpi format. Doesn't even have an interface for connecting anything with higher def than S cable. It will however record up to 1080i as long as its coming from a direct connected SONY video cam. Records in AVCHD and plays back in most not all blue ray players. Can play back in your PC after proper drivers have been loaded.
